But seriously, this is the most contrived "love story" I've ever watched. I've felt more emotional impact from a 30-second insurance ad than this Intersectional Independent Artistic Representation.

even if she was an human it wouldn't make sense because the 'fixes' doen't fit the style at all. Voltron is made by the same team who did Avatar the last airbender, and both shows have a clearly influenced anime style; most animes keep flat lips and nose even for actual black characters

For once the redesign actually looks close enough to the original that you don't have to squint until you're blind to figure out who it is. Still, 'supposed to be a black woman'? I assumed they took more cues from Tenchi Muyo than anything, given the animu pedigree.

I find it amusing people so obsessed with positive portrayals of "blackness" often immediately slap those patently racist monkey lips onto their drawings.

While the one on the left looks fine, I have to wonder about the one on the right. For all of BBAD's talk about functional armor for women, having your breasts being so confined and squeezed down to the point that she looks flat-chested can't be comfortable. (Unless she's a low a-cup.)

So without flipping out like an ass, what is Tumblr's big deal with criticism? Any artist worth their salt will tell you that handling and accepting criticism is key to avoiding the artist's greatest enemy: Stagnation. If you don't look at the flaws in your art and improve them then your art will just stop progressing and eventually it may even begin to deteriorate.

One has to wonder how well she'd be able to move given that the midsection looks like it's crushing her ribcage. Also, wasn't the point of Wonder Woman being in a revealing outfit meant to show how strong and confident she is? the only thing worse than the content of the picture is the color scheme, jesus christ. oversaturated colors with awful airbrush shading all through the pic. you don't have to be a professional to know what colors clash and what colors don't. i think this person is colorblind.
