That sounds pretty on point.
Anyway, remember that Swedish woman from last year who did those series of redesigns of fighting game characters despite knowing little about the genre or even liking it (she was the one that made Felicia look like a nerdy, human Rarity). Well, I found out she made a third and final set of designs. These are of original characters that she'd love to see in a fighting game. Let's go through it...
Keiko: What SJW who re-designs comic book and video game characters doesn't love bland colors? Dark beige is not a good main color for someone who is supposed to be a main character. It's just too bland and casual for that kind of character. You don't have to go all Lisa Frank, but a main character's colors should catch the viewer's eyes. Second, the tattoos are too close together and should be broken up more so it doesn't all meld together in smaller images.
Agent Scoopy: I know the artist wanted to make her shabby, a little rough and unfinished. This character doesn't seem like she quite fits into a fighting game. I suggest taking outfit lessons from Q (Street Fighter).
Bruisy: This one isn't too bad.
Rita: She's supposed to be the thug character, but the make-up, the old face and unattractiveness makes he look like some older cafeteria lady whose trying to relive the 1950s. I love the idea of a female rockabilly-thug character, though.
Shedevil: I laughed a bit when I saw this design. Odd how the only character than can show some skin is the big, hairy monster.
Eileen: If she's meant to be a little person, than that's a fun idea. But, knowing the artist, I'm not sure if she's that imaginative. Personally, I would've given her a more punked-out look and make her more of UFC fighter.
Mrs Yamamoto: A body like that would be a bit hard to fight with. There's a reason why elderly fighting game characters have some kind of buffness to them. I think a flashy jacket would be fun on her to show that she has a bit of a wild side under that demeanor.
Precious: That dumpy body, that face and outfit, no. I know she wants to base this woman of the farcical nature of professional wrestling, but if you wants to capture the vulgar, crazier edge, I would model her more after the WWE Attitude Era Divas who fit that bill. (Examples: Sable, Sunny and Trish Stratus)
