It's kind of sad that we think something is fairly okay because it's not as hideous as it could have been, though. Look at the 3 princesses on the end, they're so goddamn uggo and they're supposed to be fairly cute and attractive. Why do you think Bowser kidnaps Peach all the time? And why are all the good characters a vague brown and the enemies white? lol
It also took me a while to realise this was supposed to be a cross-over with Fire Emblem Awakening. Still can't tell what classes some characters are supposed to be.

One would have ask though: why is Rosa a drow-like elf? The only one that looks least likely to of changed is Waluigi, and he looks like he just doesn't want to be there.

Rosalina has those elf-like ears because I thiiink she's supposed to be the Manakete class, which is a dragon and they have ...frilly? pointed ears in their humanoid form. It's not very clear from her outfit though, the rest of her looks basically nothing like the in-game clothing or anything.
ETA: for the record Manaketes don't have crazy glow-in-the-dark scales either so the artist is doing whatever the fuck they want (as if that wasn't already clear at this point lol)
 
These people are shit at illustration. They're all just sitting in a line facing the same way.

Notice how they only changed the design of the pretty ones :roll:.

Also they seem to have gone out of their way to make the male characters more attractive. They even made Toad handsome.... ew.
 
The body positivity tag is a gold mine (if you sift through enough nude pics)

This last one isn't bad, art wise, but it's got the makings of classic SJ art; vitiligo, ambiguous brown skin, fat, lack of anatomy, and mermaids.
