That first one is racist. It whitewashed Brock. At least Misty's nose isn't a red Tumblr nose (albeit she looks like a man cross-dressing as her).

I've been following this artist for years, literally, and it's so disheartening to see their art; while generally unique and full of potential; has not really improved/expanded and has only gotten more SJW-y over time.

I really liked the noodle-limbing for their Superjail! works; since it tied in so well with the show's original art style. And for Homestuck; unlike a lot of other fanartists, she drew a lot of the kids looking like actual kids and the trolls looking trollish and monstrous.

The things that made their art unique really don't work with the Tumblr art style AT ALL and it just serves to appear more unpleasant and jarring. Also, underneath that latest work:

Tumblrnose may as well be the Liefeld's disease of this generation. While Liefeld's came from a comic book artist that actually worked in the industry, Tumblr nose came from some person on Tumblr whose art style was "good enough" in the eyes of others to imitate.

Poe's Law is so thoroughly obliterated at this point, I don't even know what to believe is real or taking the piss anymore.

I'm leaning more towards "troll art", because Brock's whitewashed. But given SJWs don't seem to realize that even white-passing Asian characters are still Asian (i.e. any Love Live "reinterpretation"), who the hell knows.

Oh shit, I remember this artist from back in my own Homestuck days, their stuff was always really grotesque but in a very unique and appealing way... I haven't seen their stuff since like, 2012 at least, kinda depressing to see that it's starting to take a turn towards the Tumblr-style shit.

e: Actually it reminds me of another artist that I've been following for about that same amount of time.. back when I first found their art through HS it wasn't bad, just a little rough, and over the time I've been following them, their art has improved significantly but they succumbed to the gender hivemind as well. Now they pretty much draw near-exclusively trans porn and pitch a fit over terms like "futa" (even though they drew plenty of it back in like 2012 lmao), and all the characters they used to make really interesting creative posts about are just boiled down to "wow look at this cool nonbinary lol"

I have no proof but I did hear that it was a certain art professor who pushed the red noses onto the students, who proceeded to post them on Tumblr.
