The sad part about this artist is that they did some pretty decent art before a lot of the art they used to post on tumblr became questionably tracted/heavily eyeballed and really uncanny valley. Much of the art before hand were pretty decent OCs and the art style felt right. When they posted more on tumblr, much of the art became mostly Avengers(mostly Captain America), Pacific Rim and Dragon Age I think. They'd through a shit fit over people questioning the art they posted there if I remember correctly. Shame to see a good/decent artist go down in quality.

This one is honestly the one of the few pieces where it looked their style and not traced/eyeballed looking and if I didn't know who it was in the tags, I would have thought it was a new OC of theirs:

Mother/Earthbound is a pretty niche game, so it doesn't have as much of a fandom presence on Tumblr, thank god (otherwise we'd probably never hear the end of how the Magypsies from Mother 3 are transmisogynistic or some shit).

I think it was part of an AU they had but I don't remember what was it about anymore. They had a lot of AU stuff for the Cap America characters, which is fine to have imo but it was kinda boring how they did them because most(if not all) just blended together.

it's probably partially based off of the artist, if i had to guess. it's got the tumblr haircut and body type.

they'd get up in arms about how "gypsy" is a slur, or something like that. that being said, this art, while very tumblr, is rather cute. shame that they shoehorned the racebends in though. with paula they at least gave her hair texture and shape that matches her skin color, but what the fuck is up with jeff? why make his skin brown? there's no reason for it. i'm not super familiar with earthbound but i know what the characters look like, so this is still really off-putting.

rory probably has a shit ton of copycats, kind of like odlaws does(sukebanana). most popular tumblr artists with a distinctive style tend to have imitators, which is why the tumblr art style is considered a thing. it's for the same reason the steven universe bean mouth weird bodytype dumb nose trend took off. it's a shame to see artists imitating pretentious, mediocre tumblr art. that's my main problem with it.
