Hindu Sailor Moon is good as a desing, because it's entry for this months Character Design Challenge. Artists from that group are in 90% professinals working in industry or art students. I also made a picture (and make all my friends vote for Sailor Moon as a next topic last month :P). Also, most of contributors are from Europe (more than half are French) or South America, so less familiar with all SJW stuff. I also don't think any serious artist would submit tumblr tucute to this group unironically.
If I remember correctly, author of that hindu redesign was actually from India.

That... actually makes a whole lot of sense now.

Do they know it's a remake?

If not - at least the old show will escape relatively unscathed.
I get the feeling some of them are aware of its remake status.

Well, they did change Allura's look to dark skinned and Elf-eared (she kinda looks like a Tenchi Muyo character now) and gave Hunk and Lance race changes.

Given how SJWs act and how they effect the media, it makes one feel cynical or unsure towards diversity. Since you know the goal post will always be pulled further, you don't know if this will make them happy or if the changes are out of free will (which is good) or its forced. Also how the SJWs hate white people (especially the men), doesn't help.
I know its weird to change the characters, but I'm fine with the changes so long as it doesnt hurt the story or gets involved in sjw bs. Not really looking forward to the fan art thats gonna come.

I don't really mind changing the race of a character, or the gender in the name of getting some cast diversity, but, the problem with SJWs is that they have to not only change EVERYTHING to some super-special oppressed/unrepresented denomination, but they make the characters mouthpieces for that group, and in doing so, destroy any virtue or depth or interest and create a cast of outrageous stereotypes that are bland, offensive (how ironic!) and annoying, I wouldn't want to spend all day around a guy who did nothing but recite baseball stats, same reason I don't want to hang around a person all day who wants to remind me yet again just how liberating it is to be *insert sexual flavor here*.

I've mentioned before that I don't mind the recent re-imagining of Marvel's Nick Fury as a black man, because he still ACTS like Nick Fury, the no-nonsense head of a military-intelligence organization tasked with taking out supervillains.... should.

I'm not familiar with the comics, but if that's the guy who was in those Avengers movies, he seemed likable. I think that may have been his name?

They've also changed Sven into Shiro. I've been reading some reviews and they've been positive. Though one reviewer did point out that she wasn't too happy about certain aspects about the female characters.

That he was done by national treasure, Samuel L. Jackson.

Yep, head of SHIELD, created in the 60's, he was envisioned as your typical lantern-jawed one-gun-in-each-hand kinda guy... with an eyepatch. Only his original version was white.
(Sperging warning) From what I understand, when Marvel created the "Ultimates" universe, they asked Samuel Jackson if they could use his likeness for Nick Fury in the spin off. He agreed, as long as he could play the part should they ever make a movie with SHIELD in it. This was back in the late 90's/early 00's when superhero movies were 80-20 shit to good ratio and Marvel was still selling rights like they were hotcakes, so nobody thought anything would actually come from it.(end sperg warning)

'pfffff who wants interesting character in show, i just want something masturbate to while proving how i am progressive"
-in the back of those type people's mind.

Not to mention they pretty much redesigned most characters to look ugly as sin. As if being attractive is "problematic".

I wanted to see this series, but now I'm unsure. How Netflix use statistics of what (majority, not all!) and how people are watching it is scary and I don't know what too feel about that kind of storytelling. It's not creative writing at all. And also racebending characters. I'm not familiar wit orginal Voltron, so I didn't know that they wew changed. But maybe it's a bit of paranoia from reading too much of that thread that every racebend makes me think about SJWs.

And fanarts don't help.

The first episode is an hour long, just watch that and decide for yourself.

When I first saw this from the waist-up, I was thinking, "Other than the lack of noses, this is ok." Then I looked down at the rest. Those are cute socks, but just not on them.

So does anyone want to watch it to see if it's any good? I'm sure there's some decent moments.

It's well drawn, but description...

Artist have tendencies for drawing musculated, manly-looking ladies and scars on every character that sometimes fights. And lesbians. And if humanizations, everybody is dark-skinned.

BUT! One hetero pairing!
The problem is in cartoon they are middle-schoolers and this make a picture uncomfortable. And scars.

EDIT:
Oh, and I found one more blog. Gay dolls.
http://zzazu.tumblr.com/tagged/gay-dolly
Style have some typical tumblr elements (red noses, bean mouths), but at leats they are pretty.
But still, idea of making lesbian pairing based on princess dolls is stil somewhat hilarious to me.

Remember kids, good female armor shouldn't even be tailored to her body. It's too wide to even get her arms in.

That iron patriot is too bulky there for some reason. I don't think "it's the too wide/heavy" argument is fair, the Hulkbuster armor is much more absurd and everybody loves that shit.

At least for me, she doesn't come off as pandering, but of course, sjws always find a reason to complain. From what i've seen online some people are mad because Squirrel Girl isn't fat and Sunspot isn't black. These people are never happy with anything.

To nitpick, Sunspot is a Latino. Squirrel Girl looks cute in her new outfit, though.
