SJW Art and Extremes

So, I saw some homestuck posted and recognized an artist. I tried to find them on tumblr because I wanted to discuss a really popular portrayal of this one character from the series that I knew they had done, but I can't refind it- so I'm going to just use other horrendous art of the same ilk to fill in the space.

Nepeta here is based off the leo sign of the zodiac, here's some of her official sprite work:

I have a friend who's into powerful butch lesbian shit, so I see this a lot and it's all pretty gag inducing. The character has green blood, so occasionally when I see this shit it looks like she has a booger running into her mouth.
Here's some noteworthy ones I found:

(The base style here isn't too bad, but the need to add blemishes and stretch marks ruin it for me)

(No cleft but still horrifying)

(Still the same character)

(So, I don't dislike this one too much, but I can't help but think this is a perfect example of what I mean by it looking like a booger)

and to cut this short, because there really is a ton of this shit, here's the one that made me raise my eyebrows-

Now, don't quote me on this or anything, but I think that in some instances this is another case of "shitting on cishet males' waifus", as she is also one of the most sexualized characters by fans, and as such they attempt to portray her as disgusting as possible- though it could just be the usual oppression points business.

For a lot of them it looks like not just a cleft lip, but a full-blown cleft palate. That would mean that things as simple as eating would be compromised because of no proper barrier between the mouth and nose.

I know that in the brutal Alternian society, only the strongest grubs end up surviving. So if she were to have that severe of a birth defect, she definitely wouldn't been able to survive to that point.

Grubs with mutations and defects are culled and their bodies and fluids are used for other purposes like paint and as the new game suggests, food and drink. The character Karkat is an exception to this rule.

Vriska is not that far behind, since she's pretty but she's a bitch so they don't redesign her as much.

If the homestuck fandom is, as people have theorized in the past, the origin of SJW art, that means that Fat Vriska (an old meme referencing people who would not stop asking Hussie about characters' weights, especially Vriska) is what started Social Justice Art.

I'm honestly a bit more confused by why Youmu's skin is green.

The art is generally fine though. They didn't go full retard with the lips which is a big surprise to me.

Both characters are my OCs. The girl is named Kelly Florida and she’s a porn star. The boy is named Ryan Jamal and he’s a Lebanese immigrant who’s a bisexual Druggie hippie.

It's basically virtue signaling anyways. They say they want to recognize more LGBT PoC but instead of actually doing that they add those ugly colors to the flag while continuing to sit on their asses.

Your art looks like you're just starting out, which is totally fine. You've just gotta keep practicing and definitely work on the hands and feet. In all, it's really not awful for a beginner and in this thread I've seen way worse from people who've been drawing for years.
Kelly isn't SJW at all. With Ryan, I'll just advise not to make the "Bi, drug-using Lebanese guy" part of him literally his only traits. A character can be a minority and not be a token SJW character, as long as that's not their whole personality.
This is just me being curious: what is the time period of the story? Ryan's clothes look very late-90's early-2000's.

Ryan is part of a different story than Kelly. His story takes place in 2018 but he’s very obsessed with the 1990s
