Debacle? What happened?

In Funimation's recent dub for Prison School, there was a one line about gamergate that was written by a self-proclaimed SJW. Personally I saw a lot more sperging from goobergaters than anything but the writer was acting like they were the next big thing on their twitter for awhile. And of course, the line itself wasn't even that great or particularly funny, it was literally a throwaway line no one outside the GG/aGG circlejerk will get years from now. The weird thing about all of this is that Prison School is very heavy on the fanservice from what I heard.

Though honestly it's just another example of the doublethink that SJWs have in general.

Prison School is about 2 inches away from being full blown porn, I've seen the manga and it was enough to make me not want to watch the anime but I highly doubt the anime is any different considering the point of it seemed to be to shove as many thongs into one panel as it could. Not condemning or condoning anybody who likes it, if you're into that you're into that but it's a interesting choice of a show for this writer to work on if he's a SJW. Perhaps the gamergate throw away was a way of covering his ass that he was working on a show about, you know, ass.

I'm not kidding, go ahead and do a google search for Prison School, just don't do it at work unless you want to get fired. It's everything I'd imagine a SJW would hate.

SJW anime fans aren't terribly consistent when it comes to their beliefs vs. the animes that push their sperger buttons. Just look at the FUNimation prison school debacle; a gaggle of SJWs proudly working on a BDSM sexploitation show. Or you'll see Sarkeesian-parroting tumblrtards talking about how much they love shit like Gurren Lagann, where suddenly it's okay for a chick to be topless all the time and used primarily as fap bait.

Anime just keeps getting this weird reprieve with these people.
That's because SJWs tend to be total weeaboos, as much as they claim to hate them like the weeaboos that claim to be "otaku" do. That and they don't seem to want to believe that Japan is a lot less progressive than America when it actually comes to animation, let alone politics and social issues in general. Basically these SJWs care more about their precious animu desu than actual social issues.

This is what the character actually looks like:

Okay:
1. That's not how lips work.
2. That's not how hair works.
3. That's not how Homestuck works!

Seriously, who the hell looked at the trolls (I think that's what they are) and said "You know what would make them better? If they looked nothing like they originally did"?

Outside of any sort of GamerGate spergery and seeing only that line, the line itself from what I read has nothing to do with the original scene. So not only does it come off as a throwaway, it's just shoehorning unrelated politics into a fanservice anime.

The only difference is that they try to justify it in completely moronic ways like "It's okay if I do it, not you" or "I'm doing it because this is what I want it to be like".
Sometimes when I see stuff like this, I wonder what the original creators of these characters would say. They either don't know or just don't care because they've already seen how bad the fandom can be. What a lot of people don't seem to get is that turning a character into something they aren't because you want them that way is a tad more offensive than adding a diverse cast into the story with no purpose. They're just there just because you wanted them to be. Basically useless and painful to look at. I would have way more appreciation for things like this if they at least looked like the artist tried. It just looks lazy.

Oh but of course, what was I thinking?

That pretty much sums up all Tumblr-imposed redesigns though.

It's funny seeing people who would normally scream about anime like Prison School defend it because HAHAHA gotcha gross MRA neckbeards!!

Most creators don't care that much, but if they do say anything tumblr will scream about how they're being mean and oppressive.

And they might call detractors of the irrelevant line "GamerGate scum" even though those that would criticize it can just be people who are very anal about wanting the dub to be 100% faithful to the original in terms of lines and all.

Well these are people who happily defend a scumbag pedophile because they support their cause, so them being happy about a fan service anime that agreed with them is no real suprise

Remember those superhero designs I showed (Marvelous Mondays) a while ago? I decided to look through some more and actually read the origins (SJWs do like to mess with origins) this time. Here's some more that stuck out.

-Maybe it's just me, but a blind, 12-year-old who's fat enough to have moobs and is said to "not be in the best shape" wouldn't last long against organized mobs.
-Harley just looks terrible.
Hey, superhero comic books are a form of wish fulfillment, you get what I'm sayin ;)
Not sure bout the blind and 12 years old part, though
