Y'see, the cartoonists who are famous for that kind of style primarily drew works that involved gross-out humor. You can't just throw their techniques on anything and expect it the end result to look good and cohesive, that's like pouring Tabasco sauce on an ice cream cake.

...Now I almost want to see the kind of Ren and Stimpy erotica this artist expects people to enjoy.

How successful would Frozen had been if Ana and Elsa were designed by an sjw?
Elsa would have been a fat black chick and Ana would have been a really lanky muslim woman with bad acne. Somehow I don't think it would have resonated with the kids as much.
 
I honestly don't mind masculine looking girls or fat chicks or any of that in my character designs but i think there's a way to make it appealing and not like ugly lumpy tumblr art. Also if you're going for character variety it should feel natural and not forced and pandering.

Also another thing that seems to piss off sjws is if your alien species has tits. ( I need to find an example sometime ) This site really hates tits for some reason. I swear if anyone suffers from the ol' 'internalized misogyny' it would be these twats

This is what I think is a good example of of a fat chick in a series. (Even thought it's part of a reboot.)
The redesign is still loyal to Stormer's original design. She's got a cute face and is given a personality and interests to go along with it.

I find that they get especially pissed if you give boobies to a non-mammalian race like reptile or bird humanoids or non-vampiric undead.

I can at least see the logic in that, mammaries being the defining trait of, well, mammals, there is a small reason to question why they show up in those places.... but that usually requires and endless string of hand waves and expository dumps of information to explain it away that derails the story so, just go with it, you shouldn't let that and that alone pull you out of a story.

There's willing suspension of disbelief

And then there's nitpicking

I can also understand the need for feminine signifiers for aesthetic reasons. It doesn't have to be out of the way feminine or anything.

Speaking of femininity, remember that woman who did those bad fighting game redesigns? Someone is doing a series of counter essays, criticizing the designs.
 
An excerpt from the link, regarding the Cammy redesign:
One can attribute the true nature of the jacket's use to wanting to cover up Cammy's original design as a means to "hide her dignity", but in doing so it becomes functionally useless. It does nothing to imply anything to her character, nor does it lend anything to her style of fighting; meaning it restricts her upper body movements, completely. In comparison to the original designs, this makes even less sense due to the fact that Cammy's breasts and midsection are completely covered, so this is just silly conservatism at play instead of actual design. Sadly, this makes the design generic, and bland, and much like Taki, this character seems like she'd be an extra in a superhero group shot (The Masked Militarian!!)

I Was just about to bring up Ross/Sophie Campbell as a good example of diverse female body types.
in wetmoon all the girls are kind of dirty and scruffy white trash goths but they're drawn in an appealing way. Appeal doesn't necessarily mean you have to stick to conventions just don't make your character an eyesore.
