BBAD is showing their prudish side with their disgust towards the 75th Anniversary of Wonder Woman cover. Because you can see a lot of leg and her breasts in this pic despite the non-sexualized, heroic pose. Also, it doesn't matter if your characters are perverted, sadistic BDSM demons, showing skin on the female version of Pinhead is wrong!
I like how the comments on Pinhead try to use flayed skin as showing why the female pinhead is wrong. Then again, regular Pinhead has some exposed skin and that too should be flayed but then again, these people are doing nothing more than just complaining about some plastic statue that's a collectible.

Edit: They should disregard the "no flayed flesh" statement for the female statue.

Also like how one of the Tumblr notes points out what BBAD did: tackling low hanging fruit.
This is low hanging fruit, these are supposed to be sexual bdsm demons. Are we gonna start bingo-ing hentai costumes?

BABD say they're "feminists," right? They must be sex negative feminists with a strong puritan kick, but that's me assuming.

The redesigns are laughable when they present them.

I'm not a fan of certain redesigns, but this feels like nitpicking more than legitimately complaining.

Cleavage and legs aside, WW is clearly not doing anything sexualized and female!Pinhead's a demon. I can kinda excuse the outfit in this case.

I sure don't understand this. You would see social justice warriors or feminist making events like "free the nipple or allow a women to wear what she wants without feeling obligated" but as soon as a female character has bear chest or curves it's a problem. It's not like wonder women is wearing pasties and a thong fighting for justice. It's movements like this that always seems contradict itself.

The way I've seen it (neurotically) explained is that a woman taking her shirt off and running down the street shrieking "Free the nipple!" is doing so of her own free will and showing autonomy, whereas a comic book/videogame character is being drawn that way by somebody else which removes all autonomy from them.

The fact that they are fucking characters who don't actually exist and their entire fucking lives are created by other people BECAUSE THEY DON'T FUCKING EXIST therefore there is no physical person being physically, mentally, or emotionally tortured by any of this flies right over their pinheads.

Also :autism:

This is the response that was given when I guy mentioned the pose looked more heroic than sexy...
Well firstly it's on Bikini Armor Battle Damage, not on Escher Girls - so the primary focus is the costume and second they pose has a few generic "heroic" factors but i still heavily about showing off as much leg as they can get away with (and avoiding having to draw her feet) and her torso is designed almost exclusively around putting in a tiny waist and a big bust.

Basically it's a very lazy cover attempt that would have been marked up with "this is a special edition, try harder" if it wasn't by Jim Lee - who enjoys both prestige for helping the 90s comic crash and is a major executive at DC Comics.

That person clearly doesn't understand the concept of layouts. Or is probably a foot feitshist, either or.

I mean I can understand it when Leifeld (or anyone who apes his style) doesn't, because he's just a shit artist in general. When they do it with any other artist, I have to scratch my head and ask "why?". As if they don't actually know/care about the actual process of comics.

With a fictional female character, they would probably rationalize their criticism by saying it was made by a guy or she's made solely to be fapped to nevermind the fact that there's more to character they are most likely ignoring as they make complaints about it. They may also make some complaint of not being able to "indentify" with a character just because said character is skinny or something like that.

I've pondered about giving BBAD a thread, but I'm leaning toward no.
If BBAD were to be more exceptional then they could warrant a thread. Then again, they do have lack in understanding some designs to get a mention here

Sharp edges that pierce the skin. No head protection. .-.

That cover is pretty awesome. I think the main reason certain people get offended by stuff like this is because they look like pin-up girls. While female characters wearing thongs into battle can get silly and a bit annoying, you can't say the artist put no thought into their work when all of the redesigns on your tumblr are just the heroine with a hoodie and jeans.

Their ranting themselves into spergitory when Quiet came into existence, is probably them at their most exceptional.

I have a few theories about this feminist bitching is that they want to define beauty by their standards while guilting men for having sex drives toward these prettier women. Why else do so many of their redesigned women characters with breasts no bigger than a b-cup (unless they're fat), hairy legs, fat, in SJW fashion and in ugly art styles?

Because their version of "Diversity" is twisted as fuck, and they never paid attention to/attended/flunked any art classes.

The artist? This gal.

Never had I seen Ace Attorney characters this bastardized.
The hair was the only thing that helped me recognize them. Why does Athena's eyes and buck teeth make her look like a racist Asian characture? From what I checked...why, does Edgeworth look like a fat doofus, instead of elegant and regal? What's with all the little spots on the character's bodies (all those "moles" can't be healthy)? It seems that Apollo (and Klavier) is also fat and ugly. Kay (the ninja girl) has noticeable armpit hair. Dick Gumsome is the only one that was drawn decently (they just made him brown).

Because "progressivism." However, they're being oblivious to their own offensiveness. Who would've thought of that? Not these people, I'm certain.

removes all autonomy from them
I look at it this way: fictional characters can be depicted as having autonomy -- including the autonomy to wear (or not wear) whatever they want. Just like an artist can make up other traits of a fictional character's personality.

Honestly that hypothesis falls flat on its ass when you start expanding it to other things

"Female characters can't give their consent to being dressed that way."

"Well they don't consent on fighting, eating, even being drawn at all. For no fictional character can't ever give their consent, so we shouldn't draw anyone."
