Well that's the appropriate response but give her some slack because you might have to use the same sort of excuses some day.

I have low self-esteem (very low to be exact). Though I have been getting better at accepting rejection(minus employment opportunities) it just crushes my self esteem and I continue to convince myself that I'm truly not good looking or good enough. I've had a lot of problems in my youth that I haven't fully gotten over yet, but I'm changing that by improving myself.

Came across this little Loveshy rant in a comic, was too perfect

Security and anonymous mask-tier social justice is the premise of the comic and it's kinda try hardish with the forced references.
Super well drawn though.

I can't tell if this is a parody of loveshy goofs or an endorsement.

All I'm getting here is 'my love life will improve if I stop expecting my life to conform to the standards I got from watching anime'

Which, yeah.

When I get stoned, sometimes I'll watch the first Matrix movie. It's really fucking awesome. But yeah, this comic (to be fair, I just saw the first page on the tapastic.com page) is how I feel when I do so.

So I've been thinking about Les Mis recently and is it just me, or is Eponine kind of a female Loveshy/Nice Girl?

She follows Marius everywhere, and does everything he asks in hopes of basically forcing him to love her back, and when he doesn't she tries to throw a wrench into his current relationship and then runs off to sort-of commit suicide. In the book there's even more fun times, with her actually ENCOURAGING Marius to go off to the barricade to get both of them shot and die together in a scene straight out of a cheesy romance novel. There are actually people in real life who've taken her up as a symbol of the "friend zone" completely unironically!

I still love her character to bits, but how appealing would she be to hang out with in real life, honestly?

I don't know who she is but yes, she qualifies as 'Nice Girl'

It's none other than the lovely Eponine Thenardier from Hugo's Les Miserables, the stage version of that, the film version of that, and the infinity billion other adaptations.

I'll admit I've long nursed a bit of a fiction-crush on her, but I admit that in real life she'd be a side of prize lolbeef.

I forgot where I saw this, but it's a short story synopsis called Bizarro Earth.

Bizzaro Earth in which women took over the world and ruled it with an iron fist treating men like it's Planet of the Apes.
The Loveshy's are the lone survivors of a squad of men who managed to get out and find a dimensional portal but their women overlords found them and slaughtered the majority of them.
Thus the Loveshys are living in a different dimension where the majority of the world perceives woman as people to the Loveshys they will always be their cruel masters.
And they hate each other because much like chickens, if you put Loveshys together in a small enclosure they will attempt to fuck each other up.
