It means Waid is a complete and total idiot. And he apparently just broke a confidentiality agreement with Meyer and Byrne.

The confidentiality agreement was for his own benefit and requested by him. Nobody else wanted it. So they probably won't care but since they've effectively shredded the agreement and spat on it themselves, they shouldn't expect its protection.

It shows how bullshit Waid's concerns were when he asked for it, and how that was simply a nuisance interposed to waste everyone's time.

Was that in the posted video? I'll have to watch it when I have a chance.
I don't think so, it looks like Waid is commenting on things that have come out in public and i don't think that breaks the confidentially agreement. Zack says some things still haven't come out due to the confidentially agreement and he can't comment on that yet, but that it eventually will come out and some of this is the missing deposition pages. Zack calls out Waid's bullshit and says multiple times that if the facts on Waid's side, then stop stalling and go to court.

Waid's words here are so telling and creepy. He's not just saying "thank you" or other normal words that peers would say between each other; he's saying "you are a good man" as if he is in a position to judge that of other people. And, I suppose in his own head, he is. Maybe it's just me, but it very much comes across as either consciously elevating himself to a position above Dunn, or subconsciously already seeing himself as so elevated. Either way, it very much feels like bullying.

He's such a piece of shit. He has a savior complex. He actually thinks he can dispense divine judgment like whether you're a good person or not, but it's based solely on his narcissistic view of whether you're doing what he is demanding you do while screaming incoherently and banging on things if you don't.

This fucking manbaby makes me sick.

Doubt even losing the trial would damage this deeply held world view

Oh Lordy, the legal scholars on Newsarama's Facebook page are so certain Waid is going to win this.

You weren't kidding.

The deep irony is that these are the type of people who would rant and rave about sexual harassment if a guy looks cross-eyed at a woman, but here you have one of the biggest names in comics calling a small publisher and talking about hate mobs and bad PR and somehow they don't see an implied threat.

If Waid's so confident why not just drop the gloves and push for an early as possible court date? Or at least make an offer to Meyer's side to agree to do everything possible to expedite matters and get it in front of a jury. (I'm assuming this would be done in front of one?) Drop the jurisdictional stuff, waive any sort of TCPA nonsense, since both are clearly nothing but delaying tactics that Waid's side will lose, and let the whole business be decided on the facts of the matter. My sense is Meyer's side would be amenable.

Zack calls out Waid's bullshit and says multiple times that if the facts on Waid's side, then stop stalling and go to court.

Sorry @damian, today is my day to be Zack. :P

I'm not surprised that many people have no clue what tortious interference means. Knox v. Taylor goes into this in a lot of detail but it completely doesn't matter whether the contract was terminable at will or even if the contracting party had already decided to terminate it. It is completely irrelevant to the case, and has absolutely nothing to do with whether Meyer has a case.

What's funny is how absolutely certain of themselves these pinheads are.

because Waid said it and they are "winning" against the wrong thinkers

They have watched hours upon hours of SVU and CSI: Miami reruns. They know what goes on during civil proceedings.

Since Waid's bullshit post he is yet to make $1 on his gofundme. Zack's has gone up by ~$5k in the last few days (i think it was around $115.5k after document drop and it has gone up 2k since EVS's video 4 hours ago).

Waid was also begging for money, Zack didn't ask for it and EVS's video was more of a 'fuck you we'll fund Zack if he needs it' and a 30sec pitch at the end for the gofundme.

The backfiring of going "We are going to win, but we need more money", maaaaybe don't make it seem like your case is a slam dunk...idk just seems stupid to do.

This final stupidity is he is claiming he wins because in deposition he asked Joe Dunn the AP owner “did Mark Waid force you to cancel the contract?” “To which he replied “no,”. Yay! Victory for the Superhero Waid! Take that Nazi’s! Except there is clear documentation and evidence of Waid’s bullying. And what Dunn says has little weight in a TI case.where he was the one bullied.

Waid is pretty much gaslighting his idiot fans. "Don't pay attention to those incriminating tweets! Listen to me tell you what a hero I am! Anyone who says otherwise are NAZIS!"

LOL, Zack says Mark Waid's interuption of deposition (the 'Yes' we all talked about) was screamed at the top of his lungs through the phone.

People were wondering what Zack was doing at Waid's deposition and pointing out that it was unusual that he was there. I think he realized that he had an opportunity for ring-side seats at the shit show and couldn't pass up the opportunity.

It doesn't sound as though he was wrong in his thinking.

This is the important bit of the TI precedent opinion

Basically even if one party was already planning to get out if a third party interferes before the contract is ended it is still TI.

Everybody assumes they were all in one room. But from what Meyer made clear is it was a teleconference deposition. Which are quite common. So Waid was still in California, Meyer in Texas, etc. They do depositions via Skype these days.

The Aids team were teleconferencing for APs deposition. Meyer went to all of them including Waid's in a total boss move.
