Eh, it's not that complicated. They're like a guy that they think (and was) got unfairly dumped and would like the girl to come back in a better form after mudsharking, coal burning, lezzing out and feminism, but never happens. Look at Mike's reaction to TFA, he was giddy and went 'I kinda loved it'. If there was a good SW or Trek content like if some girl somehow actually came back and not be a trashed up STD whore after awhile everyone would be happy. But it doesn't happen irl.
