Pikasprey is extremely underrated. He mostly reviews obscure games and romhacks, very off the beaten path stuff. His taste is very good if you want weirder, indie fare.
He also soft locks games to see if there's a crazy MacGyver way to break out.
It's some of the finest youtube autism.

This isn't much of a recommendation but more of a channel I think is interesting to see, this guy seems insane to me, he recently posted this trailer to a 6 hour video that "will bring down the video game industry and catapult me into stardom."

Smudboy isn't really a reviewer or a journalist, but he has a long series of videos criticizing role-playing games, mostly ones by BioWare. In one video he claimed he has a background working as a designer or something in the game industry. I guess he's an enthusiast.

Most people find him nitpicky, but I think he does an excellent job at analysing the games. There was some drama he had with The Game theorist, but smudboy pwned him as far as I remember.

This was his first video I watched, almost six years ago:

Joseph Anderson could be a lot better if he didn't pad his videos out by essentially repeating the same point over and over. One of the worst examples of this was his talk about the "you got a moon" animation in Super Mario Odyssey. The video would've been a lot shorter if he just said something like, "Hey, this animation takes too much time. If someone decides to get every moon in the game, it'll take over an hour of their life to sit through the animation alone." Bam. That's 99% of the video's length shaved off.

"But yOu SEE, I MAde The viDeo TeDIOUs TO WAtcH BeCAUsE SupeR MAriO oDYSsEY WAS tEdIOUs TO plA-" fuck you, nigger. I mean, that might've been a valid point if half of your videos weren't just as long as this one.

He's horrible at taking criticism as well. I'm pretty sure the only reason he made this video was because he couldn't handle the chat's reactions on his streams.

...to stay on topic, I'll recommend MandaloreGaming, SsethTzeentach, TheGamingBritShow, B- Mask, and Accursed Farms. Mandalore and Sseth were already mentioned before so I didn't link their channels.

I was going to recommended KingK, but I got cold feet when he said the magypsies in Mother 3 were "problematic." I also saw Hbomberguy in his comment section. :cringe:

Rise from your grave!

This guy popped up in my "recommended videos" a while back and he's now exploded to a massive 8k subscribers! He's pretty good for someone that has plugged away at a channel with almost no views for 5 years. He's not a wacky-screamy type of youtuber so it's not for everyone, he's pretty dry but there's some jokes here and there.

This guy reviews old D&D games and Warhammer games, but most of the content is other stuff. It's still fun to see someone go in blind in something like the 25+ year old Ravenloft.

Hypertensionfilms
His Splinter Cell reviews are quite good and despite there being a gigantic number of Silent Hill 2 videos on youtube his rather lengthy offering isn't derivative.

Since this thread got necroed I might as well shout out Casp. He's been plugging away with JRPG reviews for years and I'm certain he is a member of this site, he has been sliding in jokes only Kiwi Farmers and "Sektor" enthusiasts would get for years now.
