Sometimes I think about what it would be like to purchase enough toilet paper to last for the rest of my life. It's not for convenience, I would take shits and watch the pile shrink, a tangible sign of mortality constantly reminding me of death. A toilet paper lifebar wouldn't be very expensive.

It's Bosnian Serb Zimbabwe money. When we hit hyperinflation due to the war and international sanctions and total isolation, some either switched to the good old Deutsche Mark, or went back to barter. An acquaintance of my dad for example paid off his car with eggs and cigarettes.
