I didn't know about those last two things.

Some of the worse things about this is that a lot of other researchers dismissed that these issues would happen in humans under the same conditions.

The pit of despair well being cruel was interesting. The monkeys stopped trying to escape after some time and reverted to a sort of quiet insanity, from which they never recovered. They would then abuse other monkeys they encountered. For example they would chew on the limbs of their infants despite their screaming.

I like how he didn't bullshit the names though, they're exactly what they described. Beats pussyfooting with "Forced Impregnation Apparatus" and "Isolation Chamber".
