35mm film contains silver grains and some company in China is dissolving vats and vats of it to recover the silver. One guy is buying up a bunch of it and posting the scans as a sort of time capsule of Chinese culture. Too bad I can't find the website atm. But despite the photos being taken in the 90s you know China was living in the future.

So I sometimes watch this channel called Chinese Cooking Demystified and they are always up their own ass about how complex Chinese Cuisine and all the misconceptions westerners have about it which is just usually strawman nonsense.
