They keep posting redesigns of this fucking anime character.

Why do they think "normal" just means fat? It's always "make her fat haha now she's normal!" or "I fixed it! She's ugly now! :)"

Now here is the best part: Women who look like the "unnatural" design of the character "Uzaki Chan" in real life.

You cannot convince me r/mendrawingwomen aren't all just MTFs or ugly women who are jealous of females that look, well, female.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and point out the facial proportions on the bottom: while anime girls ARE stylized, the proportions of the real girl's face (smaller forehead, smaller eyes, longer eyes to mouth) vs the anime girl's (large forehead, large eyes, hardly any room between mouth and face) are notably different, and the later is closer to a child or baby. This does help make the character look cute, but creates an uncanny valley look compared to her grown woman body (if you remove the head her body looks like a normal short adult woman). Someone posted a picture of her from the manga and while still anime, she still looks a lot more normal.

It doesn't excuse all the ridiculous redraws that eliminate her flat chest and shrink her eyes instead of just fixing proportions.

Most Japanese cartoon art is like that to a degree. The main reason Uzaki-Chan got show was literally because of how popular the controversy was surrounding her. It's amazing.

Considering how much manga and anime artwork is like that, with the giant bug eyes and weirdly unrealistic proportions that are fantasy levels of stylization, it just goes back to the general stigma that's pushed against Japanese drawing styles. US cartoon drawing styles are pretty goofy looking, not sexualized or perfectionist, and the puritanism in western culture, in general, is pretty high. But the Japanese don't do the PC bullshit, at all. they don't give a fuck, and they regularly make fun of Americans for being puritanical.

It's a lot easier to push the PC crap in the US where they can claim big tits are somehow racist or trans-phobic or whatever retarded argument they want to make. But Japan is basically an ethnostate (can't pull the race card there), and they have a cultural pride in perfection, appealing designs, as well as a cultural habit of shaming people for being fat and whiny.

"How do I go about redesigning a character? I want to make them look unique and stand out from the crowd..."
"Oh I know! I'll make them fat! That'll fix everything!"

I'll never understand the mentality of 'this is all the fault of the male gaze, those gross icky males are the ones making all these nasty pictures!'. I do comic art as a side thing, and my drawing partner (I do pencils, she inks, it's a nice setup) is a straight female. She frequently jokes that her actual role is 'inks + making all the boobs bigger'; not because I draw them particularly small, but because she likes ROBUST TIDDY.
It's not just a male thing. Sometimes you just want the female character to be a big-chested bombshell with great legs and that's because it's fun as fuck to draw.

Because we live in the safest, most secure generation ever, and we are so insulated from actual threats and problems that plagued humanity for so long we are forced to create ones in order to achieve balance. Also you probably want to fuck your mom. I'm charging 300 dollars for this online session. NEXT PATIENT.

I'm not a weeb (anymore). What makes her more controversial that any other big tiddy anime waifu?

As Larry Correia once said when someone ridiculed his Monster Hunter series for featuring a woman in a skintight leather jumpsuit prominently on a lot of covers, "I don't care. Those covers sold a lot of books for me." Cheesecake can be an effective way to get some people to pick up a work by an author they've never heard of and give it a chance. That doesn't make what's behind the cover automatically bad. "Don't judge a book by its cover" is apparently not a lesson these people took to heart as children.

As for Abby, even body builder women will look different than men because of how hormones effect basic skeletal and muscular development. Women's pelvis is a different shape, leading to a different hip and waist shape. Men's shoulders are broader in comparison to the rest of them. The difference can be subtle, but the human brain notices it across every body type except the dangerously skinny. We're programmed to.

Any woman who resembles a male linebacker either has a natural hormonal imbalance of some sort, or is roiding.
Bit late on Abby but I will say that for all people can say about her body being body captured from a real woman who has muscles, looking at the reference makes it look like Abby's body capture really could of been done better. Then again if people really got screech on about how a "real woman" should look by way of "anime tits" sperging or "IRL this is a real woman" autism, it only makes the shit surrounding the character sound more exceptional than it did before. And personally, having seen the face captures done by other companies like Capcom and Kojima Productions with their respective works of the RE2 Remake and Death Stranding, I see their attempts of capture as better than what Naughty Dog has.

As for Larry Correia, I'm not gonna be surprised if one disregards what he says because of something like "male gaze" or "crappy marketing," Sure a woman with a skin tight outfit can come off as cheesy sex sells marketing and all but if it really is one of the ways that helps him generate sales and gets people into his books, then the likes of Redditors and people like them should at least ask themselves this: "How can we get something good to sell without sex sells or raging about something we don't like on a cover?"

I could get the idea that there are perverts out there and all but honestly if their complaints are at literal porn pics and the like, as with one of them being passive aggressive on some Rey fan art made by a guy that draws hentai, I can't even see their claim holding water unless they really were to focus on something that isn't flat out porn.

That she's really short and has a cutesy, childlike face, but also stonking great tits. And she's fine with it.

That's all.
Pretty much the whole thing with the screeching over some anime character. The only thing one wouldn't be surprised on is if there is more to it than just some clip being posted and those screeching don't bother to look in further without excuses like "well it looks like it'll just be some border-line ecchi shit." Granted, I could see this anime being no different from the rest but then again, I'm willing to hold judgement if it turns out this and works similar to it are more than just fan-service and the like.

I really don't understand how people are calling her "MAP/pedo-bait". Uzaki-chan is very short and thinly built with the standard big-eyed cutesy look 90% of anime girls have. Sure, those can be interpreted as childlike features... but only if you ignore two big things about her.

Her tits and her waist. While the boobs draw the most attention (golly, I wonder why), she also has a fairly thin waist and hips that match the width of ther shoulders. By definition she's not a loli. You could argue that she's not a "realistic" body type, even more so in Japan, but the fact that she fills out a bikini both top and bottom disqualifies her from being called "a child".

Really, what happened here is that a bitch got salty, the salt got viral, and it's now a meme. People just hate her and call her pedo-bait because that's what you do.

LIkely it's her face. I could see her face fitting a child but that's just more on the shape of her head and maybe her hair style. Otherwise, all she really is is nothing more than just a shortstack lady with a childish personality from what I hear. She probably wouldn't get much attention if Unseen Japan didn't screech about it on Twitter so much as note in an article how some people in Japan felt about it being on a blood drive. And the spergs on the side of complaining about it wouldn't have to make a meme image saying they're tired of seen the gremlin if they didn't sperg hard about it and creating a Streisand effect that had other spergs either hate watching it or making shit that annoyed the former of the two sperg groups.

Then the artist drew the person who said that bullshit three buff dwarves.

Ahem.

Don't forget it was a gay joke at Schreier's expense, he deserves the remember.

An American feminist in Japan started this shit. The controversy over this character literally started not because of the show itself, or even the manga, but because some feminist expat working in Japan saw this character on a fucking poster, and he got extremely pissed about how big the titties were. "This is sexist" and all the typical feminist arguments. The Japanese of course didn't give a flying fuck about what he thought.

This is the original blog by the feminist, who started the shit storm https://unseenjapan.com/japanese-red-cross-uzaki-chan-poster/ | http://archive.vn/bt01W
Note he says "over sexualized" even though this character isn't actually sexualized, she just has huge knockers. This feminist is literally objectifying her. People like her are the reason that REAL women with large breasts feel overly sexualized--they have to hear shitty arguments like this that body shame naturally large breasts.

This was originally about the breast size only (lol). Feminists obviously also don't read manga or watch anime, they just read blogs, Twitter, facebook, watch youtube and tiktok, etc. This is mostly an American social media shitstorm that has nothing to do with Japanese culture. Also, this was several months ago, people have since then mutated the "titties too big" argument into "she's literally a child and this is literal pedo rape!!1" even thought the art style is in thousands of styles of Japanese cartoon art AKA anime.

To my knowledge, Unseen Japan doesn't even live in Japan, he actually lives in Washington state in a suburb of Seattle by the way.

This is also how he appears in real life and his name is 'Jay Allen' and yes he's also a soyboy anyway.

Oh man I didn't realize this was a man that started this puritanism crusade. Fucking hell that's rough... Why the hell is he obsessed with Japan, and why do these foreigners care so much about inflicting their bullshit values upon Japan? No wonder so many Japanese hate us. These people are clearly catering to a non-Japanese audience who don't want the real Japan, they want Japan interpreted with a social justice white closet racist lens.

This blog is a total mess of moral-shaming nonsense. I found this fine article on the front page, from a black woman, complaining Japan is too white, because only 2% of their immigrants are foreign and they're "mostly Chinese." LOL. She's clearly the real racist here, wanting every society to cater to black people even when most black people clearly don't care about moving to Japan.

This subreddit looks like a joke
