The Queen spent Wednesday night in hospital for preliminary medical checks and is now back at Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace has said.
The 95-year-old monarch returned from hospital at lunchtime on Thursday and is "in good spirits", the palace added.
The Queen was said to be "disappointed" after cancelling a visit to Northern Ireland on Wednesday.
She was given medical advice to rest for a few days, after a busy schedule of public engagements.
In a statement on Thursday night, Buckingham Palace said: "Following medical advice to rest for a few days, the Queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, and remains in good spirits."
The Queen was seen by specialists at the private King Edward VII's Hospital in central London, about 19 miles (32km) from Windsor. Her admittance is understood not to be related to coronavirus.
The overnight stay was said to be for practical reasons and the Queen was back at her desk undertaking light duties on Thursday afternoon.
The King Edward VII's is a private hospital in London's Marylebone used by senior royals, including the Queen's husband, the late Duke of Edinburgh, who received treatment there earlier this year.
It has been a busy period of official engagements for the Queen.
She was pictured hosting a Global Investment Summit at Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening alongside Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
An official record of the Queen's diary showed at least 15 other formal events during October.
On Wednesday, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said the monarch had "reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days".
He said the Queen was "disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland" - which would have involved an overnight stay.
She is expected to lead a royal delegation to the Glasgow COP26 climate change summit in two weeks' time.
Earlier this week, the Queen declined a magazine's award of Oldie of the Year, saying "you are only as old as you feel".
She "politely but firmly" turned down the award, but sent the Oldie magazine a message with her "warmest best wishes".

Just a preliminary thread for now, but it's worth keeping an eye on, pretty sure this was how it started with Philip...

Watched King Chuck's first speech. My takeaways:

--he's committing to keeping his opinions to himself

--said right away he's ruling til death--no abdication for the younger, sexier Will

--"Harry and Megan, as they make their life abroad "--YOU IN EXILE NOW, BITCHES!

--also declares the Royals are him, Camilla, Will and Kate. No mention of Anne and Edward. So basically they've been retired. Won't be so bad for Edward, as he doesn't do much, but a real blow for Anne, because she's been so visible and does a lot

Also watched the proclamation live. Noticed the former living PMs in the front, but who was the black chick in glasses standing with them? Any Bongers able to clue a Colonial in?

Long live king bong Charlie and his inbred ilk.
At least he had the decency to tell the ginger one to keep the sjw trouble maker Megan away.
Hopefully he'll do the same with his pedo brother?

Not sure he'll be able to keep his trap shut. He's become accustomed to meddling and poking his nose in and someone upthread posted that picture of a Rothschild poking him in the chest which really sums the lot of it all up nicely.

A lot of burgers getting really confused about how the monarchy works.

The Queen had no power at all. None. Doubly so since she always maintained a lifelong policy of never stating her opinion on anything, ever. One day she had to smile and shake hands with a left-wing mass-murderer, the next day a right-wing mass-murderer, and never, ever let slip what she thought of all those terrible people. Because she never represented herself or her opinions. She represented Britain, the entity, whatever it was doing, whoever was in charge. She was the crown, the flag, not Elizabeth von Saxe-Coburg Gotha Windsor. She had to be completely opaque and never take sides on anything, no matter what she thought of it.

That was the only way she remained popular on a personal level, even if the country or the monarchy came under fire. She was just... there. We may never know what she thought about all the various people she met, all the events she presided over (none of which she had any influence over), all the scandals other members of her family got tangled up in or anything that happened in the world.

Getting mad at her for the end of the empire, or immigration, or anything that happened in the UK or that the UK did internationally is like getting mad at the White House (the actual building) because your least favourite president was in it.

She no doubt had really strong opinions about all sorts of things, events and people. But she kept them to herself, for 96 years. In an age of social media, when everybody feels the need to broadcast every half-formed brain fart they have to the entire world, she was a living personification of the wisdom of Just Shutting The Fuck Up.

Shame her idiot son never learned that.
So basically this, then?

gord bless you mum.gif

The amount of angry black people calling the queen a "colonizer" and tapdancing on her grave is really gross. Just completely tasteless and also not so subtly showing their blinding hatred of whites that Uni's around the world have ingrained into them. When people bring up critical race theory and all that Jazz just remember they are being taught to hate your fucking guts. They hate you. The future is bleak.
It is gross but it's awesome. They're showing their true colours. I'm archiving fuck out of the worst of them and leaving the archived links all over social media so people see them and pay attention to what these roaches are really like.

Make hay while the sun shines and all that. I especially love asking people "how do you think their reaction would differ if the person saying this was white or if they questioned mutilating the genitals of a child" then watching them realise how it would vary.

This whole thing is gonna show a lot of people who those they know really are.
It really is disgusting. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to see a sizable number of black Africans defending the Queen and calling out the hypocrisy and cruelty of the black psychopaths pissing on her grave. The latter were mostly comprised of idpol academics in western universities. Some Nigerians were calling out that Uju Anya lady for bitching about 'oppression' and colonialism, wishing the Queen would suffer in death, despite being in a position of prestige at a high-level American uni. It was hilarious watching them point out that the Biafra war happened years after Nigeria became independent so her claims were BS.

Doesn't she come from a wealthy family in Nigeria? It is entirely possible her ancestors sold off people of her tribe to slavers as the percentage of Igbos in the former New World Spanish colonies is pretty high, with some blacks still speaking the Igbo of that time. Never mind that the British put an end to slave trade long before America. The nerve of this privileged bitch.

The only appropriate way to deal with people like her is savage mockery.

Can't help but like Ellie2. She wore funny hats, bred fluffy dogs, starved the Irish, saw and influenced a ton of history, had a top tier grandma voice. We'll all die one day, and if so many people screech, cry, reminisce and laugh when you kick the bucket you've likely done a thing or two right.

What a great way to put it, I love that. And it's so true as well. Nicely done!

Love the actual Africans in Africa calling out that academics bullshit too. American niggers- who are a world away from a lot of Actually Africans in Africa- are a real type of trash who as I understand it, from having known several Nigerians and Ghanaians, piss a lot of other black people right off. Bigger=/= blacks or Africans, and a lot of privelidged American non whites could learn a ton from people in Ghana or Rwanda or Uganda.

The whole thing is, feelings on the Monarchy aside, kinda momentous and huge, let's be realistic. And in Liz passing, it means there's a very real chance we'll see another King in a few years. Charles doesn't look well at all. Man has some serious inflammation going on .

Guys, is it true she died bc Kiwi Farms was down and she had nothing to do to entertein themRoyalSelf?
Did the Queen die because KF was down or bc Keffals came to Ireland?

I am afraid of a long serving government offical more than the (relatively) chaos the conflicting government agencies and interests have.
Looking at history, I'm not. At this point, I'm more afraid of radical change for the pure sake of it.

If someone has reigned over something for longer than anyone can remember without everything catching on fire and burning to the ground, maybe there's a reason for that. And QE2 did that shit while Hitler was literally trying to do exactly that.

Anyone who can view the death of someone like that with absolute dispassion can pretty much blow me.
Watched King Chuck's first speech. My takeaways:

They showed him that cut of the film from an angle Zapruder could never have been at, and then told him what his agenda is.

who asked you to btw? iirc africa didn't
Fuck them anyway, if they weren't talking in English, they'd just be ooking and eeking anyway and we wouldn't even know their opinion. So they should be thanking QE2 for that.

This has been churning round my internal monologue for the last few years, it's actually been quite spiriting seeing other people recognise and voice this, and come to the same conclusions.

She dead now and was never going to fuck you anyway so you can stop simping.
Showing and recognizing respect for a pivotal figure like the Queen is considered "simping." Good to know. Perhaps if some American conservative passed away, there'd be nothing but praise and "based" jokes.

Like with that Rush Limbargh guy. Hey, you do you. I am personally disgusted. She didn't do anything to anyone.

Get over yourself, she was never going to let you fuck her either; in fact, she'd order MI6 to put one through your skull for the thought.

I still don't believe it happened, or that I first heard about in an a /b/ hunger games thread, of all places, picrel
