The Queen spent Wednesday night in hospital for preliminary medical checks and is now back at Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace has said.
The 95-year-old monarch returned from hospital at lunchtime on Thursday and is "in good spirits", the palace added.
The Queen was said to be "disappointed" after cancelling a visit to Northern Ireland on Wednesday.
She was given medical advice to rest for a few days, after a busy schedule of public engagements.
In a statement on Thursday night, Buckingham Palace said: "Following medical advice to rest for a few days, the Queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, and remains in good spirits."
The Queen was seen by specialists at the private King Edward VII's Hospital in central London, about 19 miles (32km) from Windsor. Her admittance is understood not to be related to coronavirus.
The overnight stay was said to be for practical reasons and the Queen was back at her desk undertaking light duties on Thursday afternoon.
The King Edward VII's is a private hospital in London's Marylebone used by senior royals, including the Queen's husband, the late Duke of Edinburgh, who received treatment there earlier this year.
It has been a busy period of official engagements for the Queen.
She was pictured hosting a Global Investment Summit at Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening alongside Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
An official record of the Queen's diary showed at least 15 other formal events during October.
On Wednesday, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said the monarch had "reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days".
He said the Queen was "disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland" - which would have involved an overnight stay.
She is expected to lead a royal delegation to the Glasgow COP26 climate change summit in two weeks' time.
Earlier this week, the Queen declined a magazine's award of Oldie of the Year, saying "you are only as old as you feel".
She "politely but firmly" turned down the award, but sent the Oldie magazine a message with her "warmest best wishes".

Just a preliminary thread for now, but it's worth keeping an eye on, pretty sure this was how it started with Philip...

You dropped your fedora buddy
Nope, just someone who has seen enough of it to realise it's not something to coom and fapp over. Teeeheelolol much rebel songs, so funneeee, very witty.

9/11 was great, it was awesome to see you lot dealing with a massive terrorist attack on your own turf. Was funny, the yanks I knew who previously fetishised that shite change their tune after :)

Fuck the Irish, their alcoholism and the fact they elected a cucked, faggot nigger is the funniest thing ever. I mean, at least de Valera and his immediate descendants, politically speaking, had balls, compared to whatsisface in charge now. It would be interesting to hear, were they alive, what they'd make of him. Nothing good would be my betting, were I that way inclined. Varadker is fucking over Ireland, left, right and center.

I just tried to put a bet on with William Hill, re the 20th May, and got told it was "inappropriate". Joyless bastards.

Yeah I agree, Ireland has gone down the shitter recently. The foundation was there, it’s just that after Dev left Anglo influence crept in and rotted it.

On that, I could not agree more with you. It's tremendously sad, and a real tragedy. (I genuinely mean that, it's a fecking sin what's going on there just now with that prick in charge. I do think the influx of Eastern European migrants isn't a wholly terrible thing, because many, many of them have 1. a great level of English. 2. An original language which is bonkers which lends itself well to learning Gaelic and 3. a level of morality and an affinity to Catholicism which is broadly in line with pre-existing moral standards which fits with the country but this isn't enough to offset all the others they're letting in, along with the moral rot which has gripped the country, and the tide of woketardism which is currently running amok).

In short, the wasted potential really, really makes me sad and annoyed in equal measure.

Edited to say: Say what you like about Gaelic, at least the Cs and Zs are in sensible places and the language doesn't look like a fecking opticians chart.

I hope you're tall and interested in mathematics and the Irish language, with poor eyesight, just to ensure a quality LARP.

I get the impression Brenda didn't matter too much, but sometimes keeping in the background and doing it quietly is a job itself, and she did that very well. I get the impression that Charles friend of JImmy Saville will be a bit like how Edward VIII would've been, if he remained king for longer, a spineless thing. Probably Brenda should have given less medals for paras tho. They were shit in urban areas like Derry, and Sinn Féin have lived for decades on milking the quite reasonable outrage, which they used to nefarious ends.

All Ireland's large parties except the DUP are pro-abort WEF cucks. Imagine that the DUP is now the most Catholic party in Ireland. There's pro-lifers in Fianna Fail (soldiers of Fál or destiny not fail altho every recession in Ireland was nearly their work) but they seem to be spineless careerists or nobodies. Micheál Martin is supposedly the premier but is a sort of nothing leader of the present Grand Coalition of FF-FG-Greens. The Greens are making themselves so popular by doubling down on introducing more carbon taxes, and the gay Indian is canny enough to let them do that. Varadkar and Martin and Ryan (Green leader) might fear the rise of SF but they're also WEF cucks. Ireland's politics are an example of how proportional representation (with single transferrable vote) makes parties too deal orientated and effectively all the same. There's small parties like Aontú, a pro life SF who have some representation, and they did do a bit standing COVID lockdown in a mild way.

Whatever the faults with Brenda, she's a whole lot better than that pompous midget and creep Michael D Higgins whom the ill informed think is a woke cuddly granddad.

Long may she reign, or at least for a while, given the very unimpressive successors whether Wills, Harry Hewlett and some whose name I forget. Ceremonial presidencies like Ireland tend to sink into cringe, so hopefully QE2 keeps sailing for a while.

She's dead. They'll tell us when they're ready. After the jubilee, probably.

I would argue the Catholic Church Child Sex Abuse scandals really rocked them as well. Hard to stay devout to a church that routinely rapes your kids and gets away with it. Not to mention, the Vatican dumped all the American Pedo Priests in Ireland, only further pissing off the locals.

I wonder if people will be able to piss on her grave or if they have a mausoleum ready
She's getting buried at the chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Only fake priests are getting near that.
