So I posted awhile ago about how Emily Willis was suing Gianna Dior and Adria Rae for defamation for claiming on Twitter that she fucks dogs . At the time I predicted it woud probably end up being a shitshow, and it looks like it's well on the way there. Unfortunately I can't get the actual documents because the LA court system was apparently coded by a braindead boomer in the AOL era, and it won't let me make an account, nor continue as a guest. However just looking at the list of documents filed we see this:
For the non legal peeps substitute service means for some reason you couldn't directly serve the defendant, but were able to do it by another means, generally something like another adult at that address etc. The really interesting one though is the Application for Publication. That means that they're so impossible to serve even substituted service isn't an option, and the last resort is to get the court's permission to serve them by publishing notice of the case in a newspaper, in Cali's case you have to publish it once a week for four consecutive weeks.
Given they're all in the same industry, and the fact that the case was reported absolutely everywhere when it was filed, there's a zero chance that the defendant's don't know about it, and an almost zero chace Emily can't find out where they live, which means they're trying (and apparently failing in one case) to dodge it and do the old head in sand trick, which usually indicates shit is gonna go full retard (look at some of the cases in Lolcow and Lolcow LLP subforum to see how this usually ends).
