Same. I was wondering why it looked like I got no new notifications. Though admittedly, I barely checked mine, it was still nice know they were there.

But I guess even this site isn't immune to making changes that many dislike.
 
I find myself reacting to posts much less. There's not really any point if the other person isn't going to see it.
