It seems that gog-games is shutting down in 90days no lawsuits or shit like that the owner says it is personal choice.

I find it interesting that Anadius who is known for the sims 4 pirating also abruptly ceased operations recently, citing "no lawsuits" but shutting down nonetheless. I wouldn't link them in other circumstances, but the fact it's happened twice in a relatively short period makes me wonder. Maybe there are others who have shuttered recently too.

FearNoPeer (big private general tracker) but that was just cause the owner was a faggot.

Last time GOG threatened to shut down they claimed it was because of lack of money / lack of people buying games to upload.

It's probably legal pressure and they're tired of fighting it, and instead of finding someone else to take up the mantle they're being pussies about it and just shuttering everything.

Who knows really. I think last time dude just was not getting enough ball gargling for hosting games provided by other people or not enough donations.
Same reason FitGirl page posts the same "I need money" post every time it falls off the front page I assume. FG just takes CSF from rinru, compresses them (arguably more work than GoG as those are just installers) and posts. I have next to no understanding of compression beyond that it is(?) computationally intensive, but I do not think there is such a glut of games releasing that would require insane amounts of investment. Maybe skip the 1GB porn game or the four "Menial Job Simulator" games currently on the latest list

Hmm. Then my best guess is if they prioritized pirating “based” games so that the creator loses out on revenue or if they prioritized pirating “woke” games so that people would download them and brainwash themselves. But I’ll admit that’s grasping at straws. But it is really, really odd that more then one piracy site went under in such a short period of time. There has to be a pattern or maybe it’s a symptom of something more dire.

Why the hell would one of the biggest PACs in the US fund small time direct download piracy sites? Besides it being a retarded decision because it would give them no power or profit, if a huge PAC like ActBlue was found funding such a pwny illegal enterprise they would get shut down. You do realize that most organizations (non profits, corps, PACs) are filled with, at the bare minimum, competent people who would rather see the org continue and themselves not lose their job or arrested?

Your pink triangle is showing hard and it’s more likely you’re being funded by a super PAC than goggames or fearnoleech.

In the case of Anadius calling it quits, it was probably also due to The Sims 4 is becoming more and more of buggier mess that EA won't fix, and the constant nagging from the Sims community doesn't help either.

Aw damn, got a few things from there a week ago. The guy is a bit of a faggot and gets pissy easily (like when he set the site to private only to unprivate it when probably he realized that he got more money from donations than anything else) but I still have a lot of respect towards him for hosting the site for so long. I almost never had any issues and all but one game worked flawlessly.

Ah, I remember that site, went down for a bit years ago iirc. Been using cs.rin.ru but I might use this site more often.
 
I think that one can only host so much the hentai, tranny art and reddit tier writing until you get buck broken by the sheer weight of pure soy. GOG slop/kino ratio is worse than Steam due to their political filtering. I guess even the hosts of these free files don't think it's worth it anymore.

So we’re just going to ignore the links between ActBlue and SPLC, which was found to fund the very same hate groups its core purpose is to fight against? I was just using ActBlue as an example as there are several interconnected organizations doing weird stuff with money. But I can’t rule out it’s something unrelated. Maybe they were both under separate stresses and when one shut down it convinced the other to shut down.
