Okay I know shit about doll collecting. (I didn't even like dolls as a kid. I did, and do, found/find them creepy.) But what I get from her posts is that a big part of this "fandom" is making up stories about your doll, as little girls are wont to do.

But, it's their doll, that they paid for. Solely for their enjoyment. Not to "teach the world" but to dress up in whatever ridiculously over priced "mods" there are.

If you're that much if a control-freak, maybe don't be in a fandom that allows for so much self-expression.

It seems like the company offers diverse dolls, and if you don't like a product you bought, fine, whatever, complain. That's your right as a consumer. You don't have anymore of a right to police what dolls people buy than you do what cars they buy. I'd prefer people buy American cars but I don't go and smash in the windows of every foreign car I see, jfc.

Hell, I think most kids like to dress up in something, whether it's a batman costume, or traditional clothing, or as princess. Dressing up can make a kid feel special and powerful. It's fun for them.
