Why do women seem more predisposed to extreme obesity? Higher chance of being victims of sexual assault? Every one of these fatties claims to have been raped.

I've never actually seen an explanation with any kind of study backing it up and I'm not sure why that is. You would think SOMEONE would be looking into why fatties are fat, but most of the studies I've seen are broken down by race. It's definitely a thing because while men are fatter over all (~75% overweight or obese vs ~65% for women) they make up the majority of the overweight category, it's pretty much 50/50 for obesity, but then women take over in the extreme obesity category.

That hippo on the wall, LOL. Only the people who have seen her on YT would know why it's there.

I would like to point out that she is 200 pounds less than when the show started, yet somehow still less mobile because of a phantom knee injury.

I don't believe that her muscles atrophied in the hospital because they were weak to begin with.

Edit: I didn't realize she has a "professional" Twitter account and a personal one. She was sperging out the entire episode on Twitter.

Double Edit: Wait a second. If she's been in the hospital since COVID started, she's been doing her OnlyFans account FROM THE HOSPITAL???

Well, what an ungrateful fucking bitch she is. You couldn't get to Dr Gnome because you were a gigantic, morbidly obese landwhale for whom a lengthy trip could have possibly been fatal. I'm changing my rating for this episode to EPIC FAIL. Fuck her.

Just a little fast thing with some pics since it's already been better recapped then i could ever do!

Next week:
"Thedrick has become housebound from eating, and for 10 years the only time hes gone outside is to greet the ice cream man. After a recent hospital scare it has clicked that if Dr. Now's program doesn't work for him, nothing will."

Also, she has now DFE guess she didn't like the "fame" she got.

She only bathes every 4 days or so because of how hard it is.

She has her food delivery scheduled ahead of time. She keeps saying she has ot eat to forget BUT we all know how she makes her money here.

First Meal: 9600 C $41
Largest Soda, 2 largest milk shakes, giant box of cookies, 8 sausage burritos, at least 2 burgers, 1 20 piece nuggets, 1 mcgriddle.

Another story of well when i was with step parents i couldnt eat whatever i wanted, but at home mommy let me do whatever i wanted. Mother seems to have no issues with the fact she just let the child gorge herself.

150 by 7, 200 by 10, 300 by 12 & 400 by 17.

She dropped out of school at 17 and had first daughter Bella.

After her father died she got depressed so sent her daughter (2 years old at time) to live with her mom. Later she decided to take her daughter back and start working for social services. Got fired due to her size (and possibly her lack of hygiene).

Tried to kill herself by taking tons of meds and fentanyl patches and her daughter found her. She told her daughter to not call 911 and let her die. She states she was in pysch hospital for 3 months afterwards. (This is actually a lot longer then people are usually kept after an attempt: Two to three weeks is usual length of psych stays.) Her daughter was probably about 10 or so at this time. She is probly 17 during this episode.

After getting out she decided to be a model for a fetish site catering to peopel who liked large women eating.

2nd Meal :
Carrot cake for her fetish site.

3rd Meal :
Chinese food spread.Seems to be at least 4 entrees and 4 sides and a 2 liter of coke.

Her mother has given up on her stating that she wants no help and its not going to do anythign if she doesnt want to change. (Have a feeling this calling Dr Now was more to be on tv then any want to change)

Wow talk about forced fake crying...

Always worrying when the emt's leave with "Nice to see you again" She went to hospital found out she has kidney stones but they cant be treated because she is too overweight for surgery.

She has woken her daughter up and is telling her how she peed her bed twice the night before and just left the sheets on it because shes too tired to deal with it. And that she thinks shes in congestive heart failure.

She calls 911 to say shes retaining water and its making her chest bother her and her foots messed up and she wants to an ambulance before it gets worse. When asked if thers anything else she lets 911 know she peed her bed twice the night before.

The daughter states that its hard to be positive when her mother is always extremely negative. (Her behavior is traumtizing her daughter and its really obvious.)

So the supposedly can't breath when standing kinda goes out the door with all the moaning and wailing shes doing.

She seems to just wet her bed because she can. Nurse comes in to give her meds in what appears to be a pic/central line (Odd for that to be inserted after 24 hours) and gets a surprise!

"Because i'm so large I can't get up fast enough so i jsut pee on myself."

Meal in Hospital :
chicken ceasar salad with grilled chicken breast and ranch dressing, bowl of grapes, bowl of cottage cheese, Pepsi, Chocoalte Milk & Carrot cake.

She states that they wont follow Dr. Now's diet thisisnt true they are restricting her calories she just orders food to be delivered.

SHES 940 LBS! According to Dr . Now she gained 140 lbs in 1.5 months. He states she probably eats 10k to 12k calories a day.

Meal x 2 in hospital:
3 Giant tubs of watermelon, 2 large coffees, hasbrowns and a a burrito.

She almost seems to be bragging when she talks about her weight in ways its very reminescent of the death fats here. She states she is 4.5 feet from hip to hip.

Shes only lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks she says since its very hard.

Her daughter found her a first floor apartment. Her and her boyfriend Ivan are going to stay around to help.

And first order of business FOOOD DELIVERY! The smile on her face while she orders this with her daughter looking on in astonishment/worry is insane. Her daughter is so afraid she will attempt to commit suicide again that she wishes she were in the hospital still.

Meal : Bag is from Chilli's - 8260 calories $67
Chicken strips, 4 orders of street corn, House BBQ Ribs, mushroom swiss burger, fries, strawberry lemonade, and molten chocolate lava cake.

"The positive thing about being home is that i can order anything i need or want or like. (foodwise)"

"If the food makes me happy and i'm going to die anyways why not just make myself happy."

This mother is the queen of guilt trips and shes keeping her daughter a part of this by threats of suicide and shit its really horrible to watch.

Wow Mommy learnt to use her big girl bed side commode instead of wetting her bed!

Shes refused to do the psychotherapy because she has to reach her weight loss goal by doing pt (and i guess eating 9000 calories meals)

She thinks shes lost 250 lbs that Dr Now wanted. She says shes been eating so little shes starving.

Shes following Now's diet but she gives herself treats and rewards every day and one day a week is a cheat day to motivate herself.

Covid Skip:
She was up to 974 lbs at the weigh in where she was supposed to drop 250 lbs.

Heydari under Now's orders and collaboratin did a gastric sleeve procedure because it was deemed extreme intervention was required.

I wondered why they would take a risk at this procedure on someone almost half a ton, but I guess if its die if you do die if you don't it was worth the shot.

She was sent home from hospital after surgery but some how twisted her knee and ended up needing to be in hospital again. (She seems to crave the attention a hospital gives her)

She is down to 638. She of course is still only thinking about food. According to material in room she is on 2L of oxygen during day and 3L at night while she sleeps.

ITS DR NOW TIME!

Since she is now a patient of his colleague Now was able toget an actual controlled diet occuring. Now is in talks with the daughter who is keeping him updated that her mother is not taking things seriously with the psychotehrapy. Plan is to send her to a rehab facility since they do not trust her to stay healthy on her own.

One reason they also put her in was due to Covid and the fact that she is considered immunocompromised after her surgery and that plus her weight would be a bad combination.

She developed a leg infection while there and had to be transfered to a facility to have it treated. Due to her weight and skin issues (cellulitis) they expect the wound (upper leg lower abdomemon) to take two months to heal.

Supposedly rehab got her to 496 lbs.

Now states that since the only time she loses weight is in controlled settings with diets that she cant sneak food. That its possible she will just gain it all back.

Status : EPIC FAIL : Her and Assanti should get together they are MADE for each other.

1609452220027.png

Baby learnt to go potty!
1609452470271.png

This is the expression on her face the minute they drop her off from hospital and she orders the huge (8000 calories) Chili's meal mentioned.

Never has to wait for a table at a restaurant since her gut table is always part of her.

Well, it's been an eventful day here. How about some good old-fashioned livecapping of something else - like MSHPL!

Will also be watching Yaba's live of this.

Holy shit, what the hell is Thederick hauling in the preview? Is that a nutsack?

Thederick, 32 years old, Gretna, Fl, weight unknown

Waking up, cpap clinging to your face like an alien must be cheery. Up and at 'em, dude! Goddamned, it IS a nutsack!

Can't brush against anything or his legs will stat leaking. Gross. Lives with mom, who I suppose is his enabler. Mom says his mobility gets "lesser and lesser" each year. You don't say! We don't get a shower scene. Instead it's a sponge bath in bed. She just called him "little boy". Woman, that boy ain't little.

He loves the ice cream man? This man is 32 years old and has "an account with the ice cream man". Good lord, this is fucking sad. His exercise is walking outside for the ice cream man. Three sodas, two bags of hot funyons, ice cream sandwich, nutty buddy, and a couple other things. Goddamn. This is just the START of his breakfast. After this, he "saves some snacks" for later, and usually orders a pizza. Well, he orders pizza, not A pizza. Two large pizzas, cheesy bread, two orders of wings. He eats this in one sitting and is STILL hungry, and thinks about what he's going to order next.

Obligatory sad backstory!

He was always chubby as a kid, and as he got older, he got bigger. Oh come on. Your tragedy is your great-grandmother dying, and your grandmother dying on Halloween? So he ate all his candy that night, went to school at 100-ish pounds, gained more weight. Lost his father at 9, was close to him, ate more. In the 200s by the time he was 12. Sounds like a linebacker in development. 300 pounds or so by the time he got to high school.

Moms doesn't leave anyone with him, because she doesn't know what people will say to him. That he's a fatty? He knows.

Wait, his dad was just in prison? So what is this "I lost my father suddenly" crap? Pops doesn't want to spend time with him, he's hurt, etc. - oh, depression, but not a formal diagnosis, I bet. By the time he was 22, he was 500-ish. Had a lymphedema, just kept getting bigger, so it got bigger. Now all he does is sit around and eat because he "doesn't have anything else to do". JFC, dude, you could read a fucking book or ten.

Now he's eating an entire plate full of cinnamon rolls. He was put in ICU for fluid in his lings/around his heart, and couldn't eat for two days. Probably one of the best things to happen to him. Hypertension, hypothyroid (not hyper as he says, I think), and lymphedema. He's well enough to march into the kitchen to get food, though. Mom doesn't think of herself as an enabler. Really? You brought an entire tote of candy. Buy some damn lettuce.

Just like other deathfats, he doesn't seem to want to do anything to change or just live with a little discomfort.

I should add that Gretna is a very rural, very poor kind of place, like many others.

More snacks! M&Ms, sodas, some kind of chips? Whatever, it's all shit food.

First ad break at :17 minute mark. I'm not feeling particularly charitable today, so Thederick better get his shit together.

And we're back! Mom says his sister and brother are coming over to talk to him about this shit. Mom wants him to go to Houston and see Dr Gnome. He thinks his sister and brother are coming to talk him into going and he doesn't really want to. Sister's a wee thing Brother is normal sized. Time for The Talk! Bro says man, you gotta take control of your life and weight. time to eat! He says his weight is holding him back from all sorts of things, dude, we know! Wow, potato salad, green beans, sweet tea, is that a bbq sandwich? Whatever, that must be about 2K calories.

Let's go to HOUSTON! Minivan, and he crawls in the back. He's nervous - I would be too. There are some logistical issues going on here. He manages to pull his legs in so moms can close the back door. He's concerned about how he's going to pee because he won't be able to get out to do it. They're breaking it up over three days. He's been snacking the entire time on junk food. Time to stop. It should be interesting how he gets himself out of the car. Mom has to manhandle the giant nutsack so he can wiggle out of the car. He manages to get up and walk into the hotel room. He hopes all this ain't for nothin, cause that would be a tragedy.

Ad break! Halfway through the first hour, and we're already on the road to Houston! Ads for Planet Fitness and some kind of root coverup for hair. I wonder if Chantal and Big Al are watching, LOL. They're shilling Discovery+ hard. There seem to be a TON of ads this ep. This is the THIRD Discovery+ ad in this ad break alone.

Aaand we're back on the road! We've made it to Baton Rouge, LA. Mmm-mmm. LA got some fine food. Not that these deathfats appreciate it. Speaking of food, what are we dining on? Burgers. LOL. This boy bitching about the lack of lettuce on the burger. So we have a burger, a hot dog, fries(?) it seems. He seems to think they're going to push through to Houston, but nah. We are in Houston! He's scared to meet Dr Gnome. You should be, dude. Once more trying to get out of the car.

No shoes. Of course. He says he's nervous about getting on the scale, and I say amen, dude, you should be. Ah, my favorite unsmiling nurse! Time for a weigh in! I'm gonna say this boy's pushing 750 pounds. But before that, ad break! Of course! 40 minute mark. Discovery+ ad count this break: 3 Colbie Caillet's Brighter Than the Sun for Arnold Bread.

We're back! How'd we do? Scale says: 740 Yup, legit.

Dr Gnome! How y'all doin'? Good to meetcha! What brings you down here?

Weight loss surgery. Dude, you've seen this show, you know how this goes. Mom says a few weeks ago, he gave her a scare he was so out of breath. Dr Gnome laying down the law for it. He asks what Thederick does all day. At least he's honest and says he just sits around all day. Dr Gnome says what is he willing to do to get to his target to do the hard work. He says yeah, but we know how this is. Instructions! 1200-calorie diet! Follow diet! You should be able to lose 80 pound in one munt.

Dr Gnome says you have an eating disorder and that will have to change. He points out that the dude doesn't have a lot of time left. It should be no problem if you follow the diet and exercise. He's concerned about the travel, and both of them need to move down to Houston, but go to a doctor on the other end to make sure his body is ok. See you next month! I bet moms is going to sabotage all this. Dude's not happy. He's got a defeatist attitude. Mom says no compromise. We'll see how long that lasts. He's big (ha!) talk about having the dedication/motivation. He says he'll lose 80 if mom will lose 40.

Hallway talk with Dr Gnome! It would be easy for Thederick to keep gaining and get to 800, 900 pounds and become completely bedridden. But he'll have to do the work in order to work with Dr Gnome. His condition is so dire, Dr Gnonme doesn't want to wait the usual two months.

Thederick says he has a lot of life to live, so he's gonna do this. Two weeks later.

Now he's playing games on his phone. He's walking around two times a day and ripped up his shoes. Time for breakfast! Are they following Dr Gnome's plan? Mom is repairing his shoes. He's grunting like a bear, which I guess seems accurate. Eggs for breakfast. And to drink? Water. Well, this is good, at least. Mom says, all you saying is what you CAN'T do, and you know, she's right. So they are walking to the trash can at the road. He's pulling the trash can in. Wow. I am...surprised. Walk's over. Time to go back inside.

And that is the end of the first hour! Ad break. Discovery+ ad count: 2

He better enjoy those trips to the ice cream man because it looks like he's about 60% of the way to James "owe muh leg" K's rotting legs. then he won't be able to.

Hour two!

Thederick has not been to a doctor locally to check his health, so Dr Gnome said don't come here. Video call!

Dr Gnome asking how he feels, how he's doing, is he walking, etc.

About 40 feet, he starts breathing hard. Dr Gnome says are you eating three times a day? Nope, two times, and eating an apple or orange as a snack. Neither of those are on the list of approved foods. No snacking! Eat your damn meals. Dr Gnome says mom should be pushing him to do more exercising. Says he doesn't see a lot of progress. You need to try hard. It's the patented Dr Gnome pep talk! Time to make that next appointment in Houston. See y'all later!

Mom says he's still adjusting. It's been a month, woman. Light a fire under his ass. He says Dr Gnome doesn't seem to think he's doing well, so he's disappointed. He and his mom talked after talking with Dre Gnome. They decided to move to Houston, then let Dr Gnome know they are in town. Uh oh, Pops is coming over to visit before they go. Pops could stand to lose a little weight. WTF is he doing. It's rude to be looking at your damn phone, dude. Sit up like a man and talk to your Pops. Pops says he's missing out on stuff.

Determination, motivation, dedication, destination. Words of wisdom from Pops. Be safe on that road!

Whatever it takes, I'll do, cause I'm fightin to sace my life!

Ad break at :12 past the hour. Discovery+ ad count: 3 I guess this is a trend. Three Discovery ads per break. that's why the breaks seem interminable.

That skyline looks like Houston! Month 4, we are there! Time to unpack the truck. He's sitting on the steps not helping unload the truck. Come on, man. Get off your ass. Uh oh, the "I know how hard I've worked" for this next weigh in. Says the apartment is a little smaller than expected - well, if you lose weight, it will seem bigger. Problem solved!

Three days later...time for a weighin! Wow, he was sitting in the back seat of the minivan instead of lying in the rear area, so....progress?

692 - 48 pounds lost, and he hopes that's enough. I am going to say NOPE. I worked very hard, so maybe it will be good enough for him. NOPE. What happens next is he sends you off to try again and you go to therapy for your eating disorder. Almost four months to lose 48 pounds. I don't know what happens. You didn't stay on the diet, obviously. Mom, you're supposed to be helping, so why aren't you?

None of this bullshit is good enough, you two. Both of you need to wake up to the reality of this situation. I'm gonna try harder and do better. TOO VAGUE. Progress needs specific goals-oriented focus. Man, Thederick does not want to be here. He looks like Chantal with her shifty eyes right now.

Hallway talk with Dr Gnome! He's not following the plan, they both are not sticking to the plan, and mom is enabling and wants him to be healthy and be happy and right now being happy is killing him. Goal is once again 80 pounds.

Thederick is upset that what he did wasn't good enough. Because it wasn't, dumbass. The goal was 80 pounds.

Ad break! :25 into the second hour. Discovery+ ad count: 3

Back! They're just sitting on the couch in a staged scene. Nutritionist is coming to teach them not to eat shit food.

Jennifer the nutrionist is skinny thing. What are you eating? chicken, pork chops, fish, green beans, salad, mashed potatoes. You can't be eating potatoes. Lemonade is his favorite drink. Too much sugar! The water with a little lemon juice and some kind of sweetener? Fake sugar? He's sucking that back. Change your habits. You don't need that kind of sugar. That's it? Drink this instead of sugary lemonade, no potatoes, pastas, etc.

Month 5 - back to see Dr Gnome! Weighin time! Scale says: Ad break! at :35 into hour two. Discovery+ ad count: 3

Woo, warning about surgical procedures! Guess who's getting surgery?
Back! Scale says: 615 - 77 pounds down this month. Not bad, not bad! And close enough, so long as you don't screw it up between now and the surgery. lose another 25 pounds, and run some tests. Wow, mom is excited as hell. Compliments for both Thederick and mom this time around. He's getting in and out of the car a LOT easier now.

Month 6 - time for the tests! Looks like an endoscopy. Yup. His stomach is enormous. It all looks good, though, yay! Waiting on results from a few other things. Cardiology does not look good. Bummer, man. Lose more weight to help that, and remove the lymphedema, which will help, and lose another 50 pounds. Hm. Not a ton of time left, and we're heading to the final ad break for this ap.

Ad break! Discovery+ ad count: 3

We're back! Month 8

They're out walking! In a park! He wanted to quit and go back to his ice cream dude, but they decided to stick it out. They're proud of his success thus far and they will be continuing. I guess no lymphedema removal this episode. Well, damn. But he went and got himself a haircut, trimmed up his beard. Looking good!

Episode rating: Half success, due to cardiac issues preventing WLS, Great success getting with the program and losing the excuses and extra calories.

And that ends this episode! See you next week!

Interesting that his siblings are normal weight. Most of the other families looked like they had a deathfat suicide cluster going on.

This past week's episode felt like only half. I have a feeling we'll be seeing that a lot this season as it seems corona-chan impacted filming.

It wouldn't surprise me if most of these episodes only last eight months instead of twelve. Not the first time that's happened though; hell the last Assanti brothers episode there was a two year time jump because there was so much footage in the can from the first 18 months that we got 3 episodes out of it.

It's also the problem of these patents getting bigger and bigger as the seasons go on. We are well past 600 lbs at the start barring someone really short. Which is why most episodes in the last two to three seasons have ended without the surgery even being done.

JFC, dude, you could read a fucking book or ten.
Sadly, I think he would struggle with it. The level of grammar and nutrition education had me wondering if he was just garden-variety poor IQ, or had an actual learning disability. (Also: a faint hint of deeply suppressed gay.) His mom seemed pretty low education, too. ("Apples and oranges are fruit? I thought you meant grapes.")

I find that the biggest struggle with lots of poor black folks on the show is understanding basic nutrition. Once that education is provided, they can be pretty compliant (even enthusiastic) patients. It just takes some coaching and hand-holding to get them there, because it's such a huge knowledge gap.

I noticed at the beginning of the episode there was a picture of him as a teenager where he was standing next to a slightly younger girl who was holding a childrens picture book and it looked like she was reading it to him. I think he was legit special needs, and his family being not very educated didn't help his situation.

His struggle with putting toppings on a load potato also made me think poor IQ or learning disability.

I definitely caught “repressed gay.”

From the way he talks and all I wonder if he has a mild form of prader willi syndrome. It has distinct facial features, but they are not as apparent in african americans since a part of is the nasal bridge formation. This is a diagnostic image used for identifying the facial features in african americans I have not got to look at the episode yet to see a good facial image to see if he looks similar.

"During childhood (and beyond), individuals with PWS lack normal hunger and satiety cues. They often are unable to control their food intake and need close monitoring to prevent overeating. Food seeking behaviors become common but vary in onset and intensity. Coupled with a lower metabolic rate than normal, if left untreated, the combination of problems leads to obesity and obesity-related complications. Individuals with PWS usually have measured IQ scores ranging from low normal to moderate intellectual disability. Those with normal IQs tend to exhibit learning disabilities. Other symptoms may include growth hormone deficiency, small hands and feet, scoliosis, high pain tolerance, speech apraxia/dyspraxia, sleep disturbances and behavioral challenges. PWS is a spectrum disorder and all symptoms vary in severity and occurrence. "

Just strikes me as odd that the entire family besides him is not obese and from the little i've heard of the episode it seems to be stated he is lower intelligence and his eating is more pathologically compulsive then what is ususally seen on the show.

Update:
Seen the episode now and it is obvious he has issues but it is definitely not prader willi syndrome.

Has giant knot of flesh/fat coming off his leg that reminds me of this dude:

Honestly think he has a mild form of prader willi syndrome just from how he talks and looks. And his eating seems more compuslive then the other people on this show. The way his family approaches him too is different. Also, Now comments as well that he is foggy and has impaired judgement and needs guidance from his mother on how to do this.

Highlight of his day is when the ice cream man comes at 10am.

Snack 1 from Ice Cream Man: 1840 Calories
3 sodas (420), 2 bags of hot funyuns (280), 2 Nutty Buddy (520), Strawberry Shortcake (160), ice cream sandwich (160), 2 fudge round pies (300)

Meal 1 (Ordered supposedly while snacks were gotten): 12060 Calories
Wings alone are 13,850 mg of sodium 600% the daily reccomnded amount
2 large meat lover pizzas (5920), cheesy bread (double) (2400), wings (double) (2460). 5 ranches (800), 2ltr orange soda (480)

He keeps stating that hes hungry while eating that he never gets satiated.

Meal 2 : Giant plate of scrambled eggs, french toast, bagel with cream cheese, 2 cinnabuns, and giant sausage (kielbasa?) plus 2 litter of soda.

Has been hospitlized for congestive heart failure and fluid in his lungs due to weight. ICU on bypass for 2 days. There are at least 6 pill bottles thrown around his room. Has hypertension, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, lymphedema,

Snack 2 : Giant bag of assorted candies and soda.

Snack 3 : Sandwich with mayo and mustard.

Meal 3 : Biscuits, mashed potatoes, chicken, mac and cheese with a whole lot of butter, aspasargus, potatoes, and giant pitcher of sweet tea.

Month 1:

During trip he was having snacks and fast food biscuit sandwiches.
Burger and loaded baked potatoe (It's telling to the fact he may have issues that he cannot puttogether the steps to do the loaded baked potatoe)

First Weigh in : 740 lbs

Now tells him no sugary stuff or fast food or ice cream and to eat vegetables, salad, and the like.

Goal : 80 lb in Month.

Now brings up that he has sleep apnea, he is very foggy and has impaired judgement. He tells the mother to give him guidance on what to eat and not to eat.

He worries about travel and wants him cleared by a doc before he comes back.

Now comments that Thederick is foggy and disoriented a lot because of his health. This means his mother has to be the one helping and impairs his ability to make decisions.

2 weeks later hes worn his shoes out trying to walk around more.

Meal 1 : 2 eggs scrambled with onions and pepper with a water bottle. Made on his own.

Month 2:
Appt with Now cancelled since he still has not seen a doctor to get tested to be cleared to travel. He says he didnt understand how serious the tests were.

There seemed to be a misunderstanding about apple/orange being an allowable snack. This makes sense since all the food things always tell you to eat a fruit instead of a bag of chips or a candy bar.

Now informs the mother she needs to support him more and help him.

They have decided to move to Houston without seeing a doctor or talking to Now.

Month 4:
They are moving to houston and he is helping. He is able to travel to Dr. Now in the back seat of a van instead of in the cargo area of a van with no back seats.

Weight in : 692 lbs / 48 lb loss.

Now confronts the mom and she says well i cant do anything about it and now tells her if your bringing the food you are helping him kill himself. He will send a nutrionist to help them understand the diet.

Goal : 80 lbs in month

Hallway Now states that his mom is an enabler and though she seems to want to best for him to be healthy, she has issues with the fact she also wants him to be happy.

Nutrionist appears to understand right away that they are not understanding the reading they were giving to do and explains to them how processed carbs have the same sugar as candy and chips. He changed from drinking soda to store bought lemonade and the nutrionist explains that that has a lot of extra sugar in it. She teaches him to make lemonade himself (water, lemon juice and stevia) to cut down on that sugar intake.

Month 5:

Weigh in : 615 lbs/ 77 current lbs loss / 125 total lbs loss

Approved for surgery.

Goal : 25 lbs in month and good test results.

Month 6:
Surgery cannot happen because he has significant cardiac issues including his heart not pumping well. He is still in congestive heart failure.

The worry is that he would die under anesthesia. The plan now is to lose more weight and come back to remove the lymphedema from his leg since any weight loss surgery is too risky and invasive.

Goal : Lose 50 lbs and then see if his heart is okay enough for surgery.

Month 8:
He's discussing becoming more independent. Dr. Now has informed him it will probably be another year of him on the program.

He goes for the first time to do something on his own to get his hair cut at a real barbershop.

If he didnt have the heart issues he did due to his weight being high for so long think this dude woulda been one of the rare really good success stories.

Status : Sad Partial Success
