Sean was the heaviest participant of the show, peaking at 1000 pounds. His mother completely coddled him into a half ton baby with no independence. He never stood a chance. RIP

Maja is finally an entertaining one. Her bf is 100% done from the get-go. It's like watching a slow burn divorce and they're not even married.

Yeah after seeing how he was at first since, I missed a big maybe 40 minutes(of course T.V. commercials that bloat the fuck out of it), I felt something was very off. She seemed like she was definitely stuck in her teens and he seemed slightly, not there? Almost like a robot. Then the more you watch the more you realize that this bitch is immature and a handful.
The best part was:
When Dr. No was asking him if he was all behind for support for her and he will just not answer up front. Soon as Dr. No leaves but the cameras are still rolling, she just flips out and starts crying her fucking eyes out while he just sits there looking at the floor because he refuses to answer the question. And the bitch calls her mom of all people during it. Wow, what a ride.:story:
 
Other highlights of Maja:
  • Looking way too much like a taller ALR, complete with cardigans and half-dyed poop buns
  • Uprighting herself in the parking lot (similar to these) then sobbing immediately after
  • Christian leaving her sobbing in front of two rental car workers while he took a piss
  • Later, he comforts her by sitting two feet away on a bench and patting her shoulder awkwardly. Cute couple
  • When she threw a tantrum about her mom leaving too early which was not in the plan, and her mom replied "Life is unplanned! YOU were unplanned!"
  • Calling her mom on the phone with a script straight from Eric Cartman: "Momm! MEHHHMMM! CHRISTIAN'S RUINING EVERYTHANG"
  • Mind you she pulled this in the middle of the doctor's office and put her mom on speakerphone to talk to her bf
  • Mama begging Christian to stay with Maja just to make sure she doesn't kill herself with food
  • Dr. Lola Clay looking gorgeous as usual
What a spoiled brat of a woman. Honestly she had so much promise, even with her autismo detached bf. She could walk, ride a plane, lost 90 pounds in a month. Same with her relationships; she has a lot of family around that cares about her but she just yells at them for going to work then eats her feelings. Lady, you robbed yourself big time.
 
Yeah, I can't believe how much Maja reminded me of ALR. At least Maja can drive. And I honestly was rooting for her when her boyfriend left (which he was right to do). Like, girl, you have nobody left but yourself. This is rock bottom. Find your inner strength! Stop playing the victim and pull yourself up. Follow Dr. Now's plan.

But nah.
 
Just from Christians body language and choice of words, he was not comfortable with the her shit spewing with the cameras rolling. She was an absolute member with the drama and pity parties.

I like the part where she was volunteering and someone was talking with her when shes making balloons. A nice friendly conversation that quickly goes to:

"Yeah my fiancee, husband, boyfriend, whatever left me."

"Okay have a nice day."

Not word for word but you get the point.
 
The only thing I don't get is why Christian contacted Dr. Now in the first place. Why was he gunning for her to fail something that he signed her up for?

I am going to theorize here. Wanted to be on TV, and didn't think she would make it that far with losing almost 100 lbs on her own to prove herself for surgery(which he thought didn't think she could do). Led to him backing out with all the fighting going on because he didn't think living in Houston for 6 months-1 year was worth the stress supporting her. Keyword support.

I don't even have to go re-watch it to get the first 20 minutes or so to get what was going on. The fact he asked with such a monotone voice on "What is the most weight someone has lost in a month on this show?" and for Dr. No to say a bit over 100 lbs. His reaction just seemed too fucking weird.

Edit: Just thought about this just now. Her giving up on the program just made me realize they have a lot of behind the scenes to work out. The weight gain, for whatever reason, wasn't the main concern here. They have a lot of issues, and she just wanted to go back to her comfort zone.
 
Maja's voice-over reminds me of Chantal's obviously fake "sweet" voice. And much like Chantal or AL she came up with an excuse to quit Dr. Now's diet: "Right now I need to focus on doing what I need on the inside. And I don't want to have to worry about whether I succeeded or failed, and if I'm gonna have a good weigh-in for Dr. Now or not." So to make herself look better she went to a party for homeless kids, donated some toys, and helped tie curling ribbons around balloons. I like how she mentioned wanting kids of her own at that point. She failed to bring up any desire of being a mother at beginning when she was talking about how her fiance of 4 years left her because he wanted kids. There was no we, only he.
 
She's up there with the mad ones for me. That full blown tantrum "MMMMEEEEERRRRRMMMM" phone call was insane. I'm here watching a 600lb fucking baby abuse her spergy AF boyfriend and saying 'it's all his fault' as to why she couldn't put down the Mickey D's? Gaslighting madness.

Also pls note, she mentioned multiple times that she couldn't have babies because of 'her size', which, like, obviously. But she only cites her weight as the cause for this - not endo or any other disease that may affect fertility. Then cries 'woe is me' her first fiancee left her because she couldn't have children.

Bitch you let him leave you because you cared more about shovelling processed crap down your gullet than losing the weight and trying for kids. Mad on the internet, I am.

I didn't see him as the type to crave media attention. He barely talked anytime he was onscreen, which he seemed to avoid in the first place.
Alternate theories:
  • Back when he contacted Dr. Now, he still had hope for their relationship, but it disappeared by the time they were filming.
  • She was the one who brought up WLS/MSHPL, but they played it as his doing to pretend their relationship was healthy. Or she was the one who made him contact Dr. Now because anxiety or whatever, and they just ran with it.
  • He was looking for an out from the beginning and got her on the show to prove she couldn't change or show how much of a bitch she was. Maybe even to himself. It's hard to walk out on someone who's committing a slow suicide, especially if he had to deal with backlash from her family and friends.

I think the dude is better off being single and working on himself than just being with an immature whale. There's really no positives with being with her. She acts like a child herself.

That's a good point. I'm not sure how they do these shows but the process of being approved to be filmed, and then aired seems pretty lengthy. He might have had some hope before it started and they just ended up being where they are.
What I did learn was they do the narrations for what is happening on screen is done after production. Which makes it really fucking weird. Fuck TV.
