The current incarnation of Russian MTV still does... although it's because the familiar cancerous reality-show version (MTV Russia) was shut down in 2013 after a dispute between Viacom and the company running the Russian affiliate (IIRC). The only good thing they ever did was broadcasting uncensored episodes of South Park in the early-mid 2000s. In the 1990s, MTV Russia was the channel of choice for the cool kids, non-conformists and edgelords, then they started to lose the audience to even more cancerous TNT channel and went straight into reality TV hell.
The new MTV Russia mostly broadcasts pop music and adverts via satellite. The choice of music of the new MTV (and their thematic channels like MTV Rock) is shit, though. They also stay away from politics, unlike their American parent.

I honestly did not think MTV still existed as a media thing in 2016, I haven't heard that name in years
 
I'll check my straight white cis privilege when you start playing mother fucking music videos and bring back HeadBangers Ball, MTV. And I mean on your TV channel, not some web channel bullshit no one watches.

Wow, they've gone into full damage control over this. Deleting vids, posts and only leaving the video on Twitter?

I'm glad people are starting to get tired of the dumb, racially charged videos like this. The video wasn't funny, clever or entertaining. The only purpose it could have served was to make people really into identity politics go " >: D Yeah! Damn right! Stupid WHITE males.".
 
MTV was the shit when Beavis & Butthead, Music videos and Daria were on.

Guessing VH1 aint that far behind MTV's decay.

Wasn't VH1 the one that had Teela Tequila's dating show? I'd say they've passed MTV like a meth-head careening down a flight of steps in a psychotic fit.
