Lots of delays today, it seems. Not that it means a lot since most of these films were probably like 20-30% complete at best.

Is anybody gonna give a shit about the mcu 4 years from now? Marvel is really pushing their luck here, phase 4 is already a trashfire, pushing back the 4 most intresting things in their lineup that could revive it seems like less of a risky move and more of a straight up retarded one.

They've still got a few cards left to play. Doctor Doom, their own version of Venom and so on. Phase 4 is wildly inconsistent I agree, but it's mostly in regards to the movies (besides NWH and Shang-Chi). She-Hulk is the worst of the TV shows, but beyond that the television/streaming side of the MCU is carrying Phase 4 on its back.

Alan Moore was right and we didn't listen.
What did he say?

I'm confused, how do you do doctor doom without doing the fan4tastic four first?

Isn't that like doing a show on the wasp before you do the antman movie or something?

Alan Moore said:
"I haven't read any superhero comics since I finished with Watchmen. I hate superheroes. I think they're abominations. They don't mean what they used to mean. They were originally in the hands of writers who would actively expand the imagination of their nine- to 13-year-old audience. That was completely what they were meant to do and they were doing it excellently. These days, superhero comics think the audience is certainly not nine to 13, it's nothing to do with them. It's an audience largely of 30-, 40-, 50-, 60-year old men, usually men. Someone came up with the term graphic novel. These readers latched on to it; they were simply interested in a way that could validate their continued love of Green Lantern or Spider-Man without appearing in some way emotionally subnormal. This is a significant rump of the superhero-addicted, mainstream-addicted audience. I don't think the superhero stands for anything good. I think it's a rather alarming sign if we've got audiences of adults going to see the Avengers movie and delighting in concepts and characters meant to entertain the 12-year-old boys of the 1950s."

What the fuck this is the most based thing ive heard anyone say about marvel and its from an ex-comic book writer?

When did he say this?

Spoken like a true edgelord pedo: "How dare you enjoy something fun with explicit morality?! Real adult comics should be about grown up subjects like rape, demon worship and how right wingers are bad!".
If the guy wanted to have a point he would address the underlying cause and perpetrators in the (then encroaching) consoomer life style rather than just stick to its victims.

The finale script for She Hulk potentially leaked.

It gets really bad.
So happy I gave up on the show. Like no joke this is the first marvel show where I just couldn't stomach it anymore after the second epsiode.

Which sucks since She-Hulk was fun in the comics.

You say this as if this isn't what Super Hero comics ultimately became to continue selling to the manchildren who couldn't let it go.

Like...did you even read what he said or just get butthurt?

I was being a bit facetious when I said that Moore was right, so my real thoughts are liking media geared for children as an adult is not a bad thing in of itself. It's the reaction channels' attitudes of acting like Kevin Smith that's the problem. It's one thing to watch the MCU, it's another thing entirely to be cheering and clapping in the theater. In short, it's the lack of self control of fans that makes it embarrassing, not the media itself.

The dark age of comics was widely regarded as a bad step (that I think nearly bankrupt Marvel), and it was more to garner the edgy 13 year old crowd than manchildren. It was also partially caused by Alan Moore's work which was put on a pedestal to a ridiculous degree.
Nowadays comic book sales are in the shitter and are more of a propaganda machine than actually depicting any heroes.
