You can pretty much say that No Way Homo & (to an extent) Hawkeye are the only good things of Phase 4.

Shang Chi wasn't ...well...it wasn't fucking awful. The comedy bits were the most grating thing about it, but that's typical lowest common denominator appeal. It would be almost good if they'd tone down the comedy shit, but asking Disney to tone down the unfunny Zoomer comedy is like pulling teeth.
I heard there is a Phase 5 coming up? Besides The New Boack Panther where they are copying the book and making the sister Black Panther (I think it didn't last too long but it did happen) what else have they announced that sounds like it will be really bad? Oh wait I remember Ironheart, Ms Marvel and Falcon as Captain America (why the fuck are they trying to push characters who failed hard a few years ago? What's next, America Chavez or Gray She-Hulk with has the physique of Hulk?)

America Chavez was out in Multiverse of Madness, & thankfully as almost a new character. Universal is probably the only thing stopping them from doing a Red Shulkie, that, or Disney just don't remember Red Shulk exists.

Ah, but yeah after Hulk was killed in civil war 2 (Thanks Bendis) She Hulk understandably did not take it well and this trigger her to take this appearance

(Seriously that was only 2016 and I KNOW for a fact there is tons of tons of worse things Marvel has shat out)

When I think of camp, the most perfect example to me is Adam West's Batman. That show is incredibly stupid but West holds a straight face through it all and talks with a large amount of confidence. The show itself has confidence that the audience will pick up on the fact that it is all one large joke.

In comparison, the MCU does this thing where it seems to want to be taken seriously, but feels the need to shit itself every other scene as to not be too serious. It wants to have its cake and eat it too, being both a cinematic experience and one large comedy. By the end it is neither. It has no confidence in itself or the audience to handle the material, which is the series greatest flaw.

Adam West Batman may be inaccurate to its source material in many ways, but damn does it have confidence in what it made. The MCU doesn't. It took the wrong lessons from Guardians as that film actually did have confidence and knew when to be a joke or serious.
Glad I could help, citizen.

I've seen & have pics of much worse Shulkies. That said, I really wish that Grey Hulk design is fucked off into a corner. It's 2016 so I'm not surprised, this retardation was at it's peak at the time. Add in Bendis & it just comes full circle.
Taskmaster aside..................BW was good. Despite the fact that they butchered her story because Disney is too chickenshit to go darker.
The issue with BW (alongside pretty much all of Phase 4 except NWH & DS:MoM) is that it's kinda forgettable. I just don't have much memory of most of it. Nor do I feel enough interest to even feel like watching clips of it on YT (Unlike NWH). It's just really forgettable, & also unnecessary except for it's end-credit scene if you want to watch Hawkeye.

Also, agree with the darkness part. The darkest they went in just P4 is Moon Knight & later Love & Blunder.

No, the problem with Black Widow is that they took an espionage character and made her a movie a bottom of the barrel action movie. I think most people were hoping for a film in the style of James Bond/Alias. What they got was another Thor: Dark World.

Yes, leading it to becoming forgettable. Also, they actually copied some shit from the Bourne films, it was as close as it got to espionage.

Nathan Explosion IS The Ambiguous Xe Hulk!

So how bad has the mcu gotten since Far From home? I assume it went a lot worse
It really depends whether or not you click with the TV shows. Personally, the only one I found to be particularly skippable was Falcon & WS. They made it pretty clear at SDCC that Phase 4 was their reset/fuck around era.

Shang-chi was good, Multiverse was excellent and most of the people whining about it are faggots. I enjoyed Eternals but it was up it's own ass quite a lot and that most people hated it doesn't surprise me. Black Panther will almost certainly be pretty good.

The shows are a crapshoot. I say mostly more hit than miss but none of them are exactly appointment viewing.

Also this. I'd say the first like 15 minutes are probably some of the best shit in the entire MCU. Then it just turns to same old horseshit and then ends with them falling for twenty minutes. It's actually a worse movie because it starts so good, because they clearly could have made it good and then chose not to.

I feel like marketing people are now playing with woke/anti-woke stuff to promote things. First show her throwing the rock further than the Hulk. Get people passing it around to say how they hate how Woke it is. Now a new clip shows Hulk throwing the rock much further to turn it around again (yet he's still mocked by her for throwing it further). I'm reminded of Bill Hick's skit on marketing and how there is literally nothing they wont use as a way to chase a dollar including hatred of how they will use anything as a way to chase a dollar.

I think the term is Antagonistic Marketing.

Phase 4 has been utter dross like some of the worst cinema created considering its astronomical budget. It's crazy to think most of the phase 4 films broke even though some saw a profit. The problem is it's so forced with it's "diversity" not even understanding its core audience men 18-35 and those people don't give a shit. I can't wait for them to fuck up Kang.

I’m sorry, I still can’t take Ironheart seriously as an MCU movie.

Not because the Gender and Race Swapped Iron Man was a stupid decision in the comics - it was and still is - but mostly owing to that JAV under the same name existing.

What more that one nuclear strike does to some motherfuckers…
