I’ve lurked this thread for months, but never posted because I haven’t had any original thoughts (and I don’t use Xitter and can’t pay a thread tax.) I think I’ve got one now, though.
These people use the exact rhetorical patterns of sovereign citizens. They only recycle misinformation from their terminally online circles, and believe that somehow invoking this information alters reality. They have these nonsense scripts that are built entirely out of thought-terminating cliches.
Reset the clock, antis are pedos, it is only fiction, etc. are all analogous to
I was traveling,
I am a free man on the land, do you have subject matter jurisdiction?
They’re so wrapped up in their own language, and their own constructed realities, that they’ve lost touch with a common sense reality. When anybody challenges the stability of their constructed reality, all they can do is return to their cliches and repeat them ad nauseam. And it seems to have this weird effect of drawing people into their realities, like making these incantations with sufficient willpower will change common sense reality. Somehow they’ve completely excised the practice of
phronesis (virtuous practical wisdom) from their minds - there is no distinction or judgment that occurs in their thoughts beyond affirming their own essential definition of reality.
Thanks for reading my musings. I’ll leave this image here in advance.
