The situation really started worsening visibly in the late 2000s when seinen (which basically was the mainstay in Japan from I'd say 1995 thanks to Eva and GITS up until after 2007 or so) as a trend started dying out and social media started to take off more, and it's been steadily downhill ever since. Lolicons all deserve medieval-style cruel and unusual punishment, and nothing's going to ever change my mind. Been lurking for quite a while, this thread in its entirety is just peak cinema. Keep going strong.

I haven't used VRchat myself but I remember hearing about the "lolipolice" group that was on their & the drama that happened around them. I don't remember any details though as I wasn't really paying attention at the time.
Other than that, I started watching VRchat trolling videos a while ago & noticed a lot of people in those "little" servers use loli & cub avatars.

I think? I archived it, never archived things before but it should work. Working on the youtube video but its a bit complicated so Ill just drop the link here, be careful BOTH of these are pornographic. Idk what the video is but it has his name in it, seems like it was some kind of twitter spat he had. In the "about me" you will see the Twitter handle H1Beesnuts. Well, yeah. I definitely agree on that. Underaged characters are certainly allowed to exist, but personally, I just dislike the trend of the main cast being full of teenagers in an otherwise adult setting [not adult as in sexual, but mature]. Teenagers and even young adults are treated like they're far more mature than they actually are.

But anyway, hate it when people treat it like child characters only exist to cater to loli/shotacons. Like you said, they're bound to exist, like how they're bound to exist in our world.

AGK in my honest opinion could have been one of the best shonen of last decade, but is completely undone by the uneven pacing and haste to quickly kill characters off. Not just anime, but also manga. It honestly completely wasted so much potential while doing so. You can read it, but I'd say it's honestly at your own risk.

Chelsea, Sheele, Bulat, and some of the Jaegers especially could have been developed far more as characters, but the mangaka succumbed to his own craziness of killing off characters, especially completely at random. As a matter of fact, that's why AGK has that reputation of being a 2edgy4u manga.

Speaking of which, if you're looking for a better alternative, Elfen Lied's anime is honestly disappointing due to being incredibly rushed and left out many key factors of the plot, but the manga (the original source material) is genuinely one of the best I have ever read. Yes, it's still incredibly edgy, but this is while still having a visibly compassionate and soft side to it with a far clearer and better message instead of just loathing humanity and being incredibly misanthropic. This is while doing its best to layer each character in great depth while having multiple other plot-essential characters that were left out of the anime entirely. Also, Lucy, Kouta, and multiple others actually grow and progress as characters as the plot continues instead of just being fucking traumatized by the current, deplorable state of humanity.

I mean according to MAL (if it matters lol) it was. Millions watched it. AGK was egdy as fuck and basically put White Fox on the map as a studio. It was a ride watching it if nothing else but it definitely was "rocks fall, everyone dies"

Sharty has a history of making accounts for people on porn sites and the such. It's called "/raid/" for a fucking reason. Why would he include all of his contact information, his address, and his full name on some porn account? Think for a second bro.
