The biggest issue is the dictation of positions. The chud reacts almost always. Rarely is the chud on the offensive. It means that they end up defending the worst points among legitimate ones. It's not a good mindset. It allows lolicons to burrow in and hide with ease.

I’m sorry to digress but I think this is worth being said. Anime appeals to both sides because it is fundamentally beautiful. Why? It conforms to classical proportions of beauty (not just women; I’m talking about everything). That’s why anime is so ‘aesthetic’. In a world full of subversive, modernist drivel, anime serves as one of the few reliable and popular Classical art movements. It’s like John Williams’ music: it’s obviously distinct from Bach and Beethoven but it still maintains the beauty. Western animation was pretty much in the same vein until they started stuffing ugly people and beanmouths into it.
Both liberals and conservatives are so divorced from Classical beauty that they couldn’t even tell you why they like anime. They’ll come up with some platitudes and may even make up a political reason like ‘it’s woke’ or ‘it’s based’ but at the end of the day people like anime because of the aesthetics.
Yes, I’m saying that people who don’t like anime have no taste.

The company (Astraline) has their own discord server with an nsfw channel where all members can jack off the the pictures of their favorite oshis, but as of the recent debut that included the loli character. After getting backlash for having pedoshit on their official discord server they removed the character from the channel and suggested they would change the design of the character but she's also totally 1000 years old you guise.
This caused a lot of asspain
