La Palma is rumbling - What are the implications of a 40 foot Tsunami along the east coast?

I've been away for the weekend. Has Morocco turned into Morrowind yet?

What blocks it that the lava itself can’t melt?
If the eruption slows down enough that the surface lava is cooled by the air until it turns solid, it would be hard for the magma to re-melt the now solid plug from beneath. The pressure then forces the magma to find an easier route.

Edit: Might be that a lot of debris fell in, actually

Water intrusion somewhere down the pipe. Hence the change to steam from lava steam

So at this point the Cone either collapses or magma finds another way out.
Is there any way of manipulating a volcano so as to minimize the impact of eruptions? I’m guessing not, but it’s also weird if nobody’s been working on this after all this time.

1/3 of the Island is barely hanging on and is predicted to Slide off into the ocean. Check out the attachment i post in OP it shows the area's.

Certainly not but its worth watching. I completely disagree with your assessment on that Tsunami. A relatively small displacement the size of the world trade centers created the 2011 Japanese Tsunami and this would be many magnitudes greater than that. Yes the Wave will dissipate as it comes to the new world but it may not go away alltogether
When the 2011 Japanese Tsunami hit our US West Coast town, we could see barely a ripple.

You could probably use bunker buster bombs to open up the vent or create new vents to prevent a complete blowout like Saint Helens . You could strategically relieve pressure from the cone.

So yeah I would say there is a way but I don't think anyone has plans to do this...you could create rivers of lava pretty quickly where nature didn't intend to put them

And if you fuck it up, you get blamed. Hell, whoever bombed it would get blamed even if they helped

Well, a plug in a volcano is never a good sign.

Even at the best, a new vent can form nearer to the houses that are not KO yet.

You know if Trump would have suggested this, they'd have laughed at him and Lorne Michaels would have a new dead horse to beat (off)

I really hope this doesn't become a repeat like St. Helens, and just becomes a beautiful volcano erupt. Not sure if magma is that slow on reaching other vents or debris actually blocked the cone. I'm anxious.

EDIT: Just thought about this, if the cone does explodes, would this also have enough ash to blot out the sun for a while like other volcanoes?

Let’s say the main vent is plugged and the pressure isn’t getting adequate released through auxiliary vents. Is there a situation where the eruption is forced beneath the sea floor and spreads out from there in one giant earthquake? One of the reasons you’re not supposed to mess with blemishes is because you can force the sebaceous buildup to release under the surface of the skin and make a hole down there, which makes things worse. Just wondering if there’s a geographical parallel here.
