Kindergartners sent home with masturbation assignment - Accelerate!

Four-year-olds at an Alert Bay, British Columbia school were reportedly given this homework assignment on touching their private body parts. The worksheet asks students to draw pictures of places in their home where they can masturbate privately.
Here’s the worksheet the children were asked to complete:

An angry parent took to Facebook with this post:

T'lisa̱lagi'lakw School is part of the Namgis First Nation. A spokesperson for the Nation told Libs of TikTok “the incident is under investigation” and therefore was not able to comment further. The principal could not be reached for comment.

The worksheet is adapted from a book called Body Smart: Right From the Start which is advertised for 3-7 year olds.

I just checked the original facebook post. The original author of this masturbation worksheet is some ugly, frumpy woman and she's getting roasted in the comments.

The gall. If you can't read what she says in that screenshot (the file's fucky for some reason and I can't upload it), she says: "Are parents wanting a professional who specializes in sexual health education to come to Alert Bay to provide parent education? Teacher education? Student education?"

So, given that this is first nation territory...any Canadians familiar with how this is likely to go down in that community?

Because this is well beyond the fucking pale and has zero excuses for it. Four year olds dude, four year olds.
 
At what point does this become a crime? I know it won’t be prosecuted but I guarantee if I handed this shit out at a playground I’d be fuckin arrested.
 
This has to be fake, lol. It’s sad that I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it’s not. When I was a kindergartener, I didn’t know what a Volvo was, let alone a vulva.

Alright.

Kids don't learn about masturbation, most people seem to have no problems figuring out what their privates are. The most that ever should be said by any parent is "It's your body, it's your private areas. You do this in private and you don't talk about it with people, because it's private."

It should be a conversation about privacy and how your body is YOURS, and how nobody should really even know what you do if you decide to "masturbate" or "touch your privates". Nobody should be asking about masturbation or your privates, the only people who technically are allowed to do so is with your parents, the people who you should be able to trust. I'd be mortified if I were a kindergartener and this worksheet was forced into my possession, and if that isn't the response most kindergarteners/first graders have to witnessing something like this, then what the absolute fuck is even going on anymore.

What fucking four year olds are even masturbating? It is just so infuriating on so many levels. What are the laws in leafland on homeschooling? I imagine somewhat similar to the US.

Actually homeschooling is illegal in Canada so you have literally no choice but to put your children in the pedo den or flee to the U.S.

WTF, really?

Weird to me as I go to Canada fairly often, but have no relation to it. It is barely leaving the US except some things are cheaper and the royal family is plastered on 1 of 3 roads. I sometimes forget I even left the US.

Homeschooling is a human right. I don't care what anyone says.
 
I'm gonna err on the side of this being real: This really only should apply to children with precocious puberty and those are exceptionally rare. You don't give it to the whole class.

But I guess I shouldn't be surprised it came from a reservation given their, you know, rates of child abuse.

The author is Kerri Isham. Her work seems pretty boilerplate on the surface; she mentions the impact of pornography on the youth. She seems to want children to be comfortable so they'll tell their parents about abuse, but this homework might have the opposite effect. She has a company called Power Up! Education and seems to be about reshaping the sex ed curriculum. She basically blames pornography for child-on-child sexual assault - personally I think it's a home issue with certain cultures - and that parents are ill equipped to handle it, even though parental controls and blocking are options.

I'm not sure I want to call this one a groomer, I think they're just a boomer. I mean porn is bad, but I mean the way they're going about this is top boomer.
