I feel this strongly with anything superhero related. It has to be superheroes, but they fuck, and swear, and act like edgy teenagers. Dispatch is getting endless praise and as far as I can tell it's pretty much just that put over a bare bones excuse for a visual novel.

COD fuckers exist. But I haven't seen any gendie stuff. Just husbando stuff.

These "And oh yeah he's gay" lines and the sudden mention that a character is now a they/themlet is just a quick and lazy way to be inclusive without having to make an effort to pander. That way no gendies can complain that you didn't include them. It's low effort slop and won't age well.
 
I got around to playing Fear the Spotlight, which was free on Epic Games a few months ago. It's a survival horror game that I would rate a Mild at the most for the two playable characters being non-white girls that have a crush on each other.

That's how people define woke? Interesting. Was under the impression that it was black slang that means to be aware.

I feel like the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Switch remaster falls under medium or mild. In addition to the obvious sticking point of Vivian (which if that alone is what you know of, it'd likely be mild), a lot of dialogue being toned down to better appeal to gays (like Luigi's Bob-Omb partner Jerry no longer comments on being traumatized over seeing Luigi in a bridle gown), fat people (basically every word related to being fat is gone), or even just the removal of sexism in general (like the prologue Goombas) really sticks out if you grew up with the GameCube original and a lot of the soul is just gone.
 
Phoenix Point (with Terror from the Void): Moderate.

Not low, because
  • 50% of combat operatives are female.
  • The egalitarian direct democracy academic faction somehow has no problem making quick decisions. (less realistic than crab people)
  • Two men from the aforementioned faction are married to each other. (but disagree on the solution to the crabmen/virus problem)
Not high, because
  • The conservative, authoritarian militarised faction is actually shown to be right about the threat, and filled with competent people.
  • All three factions have a clear reason to be that way without being strawmen.
  • No demeaning of men or YT.

From skimming Wizard101, it's at least a Medium.

Last year, they got rid of gender selection in favor of "styles." I don't know if it's related to that update, but they also cut one of the Headmaster's lines asking if you're a boy or girl, which used to be in the game until at least 2019 from what I could find. Even the ability to change your gender, which was implemented back in 2023, was changed so that you change your "style" instead.

Someone who reports on datamined content claims that, at least for the dialogue before the update, the game still has gender-specific dialogue depending on which "style" you pick, aka if you're a boy or a girl. Don't know if it was changed since then, though.

I can't find too much info on the characters since there isn't a lot of documentation. From what I can confirm, two NPCs use they/them pronouns, Phileas Dogg and Deborah Highroller, added some time around 2022 and 2025 respectfully.

As for Pirate101, I also can't find information on the characters, but it still has the gender selection as of now.

I wish this wokeness of PP was talked about more, because I had no idea. This bit about "gays in the postapoc" annoys me the most because it's not only literally pointless and self-destructive, it's done solely to "own the chuds", and it's been repeating itself since The Walking Dead IIRC.

Damn. That game was a big part of my childhood, and I was thinking about giving the PS4 version a go; couple of the VAs for the game passed a way a few years ago, figured I'd take one last walkabout. Shame, but at least I can save some time and money. Thanks!

I do know there's a couple in-game that could count as incestuous; one of the storyline companions, El Toro, wants to marry his (adoptive) sister, with the father initially not exactly wanting to allow said marriage but later coming around - you have to help the two be wed to progress. I think the main antagonist, Kane, is implied to have romantic interests for one of his robotic offspring as well. Do those count?

Came across Pronoun Palace on Youtube, it isn't even out yet and it gets the Heavy rating. I'll admit that the Scrabble gameplay is a unique concept for most LGBT+ centric games, but the entire premise of the game is "le government stole ur pronouns", which is fucking stupid if you think about it, even if it's meant to be "satire".

Is this meant to be some kind of retarded rip on 1984? It doesn't even look that appealing for an indie game. There are hundreds of them that look like this and have the same exact art style (hand-drawn esque but low resolution.) This is really the kind of game that would get popular due to its ideology and nothing else.

Preaching to the choir, here, but; trannies and gays were/are a mistake. They're the ones that started this whole "faggy men & ugly women" trend, and it just gets exhausting to witness them spew out the same shit over and over.
