I'm expecting a lot of online edgy bois to take Joaquin Joker (Joaker?) as their hero, we all live in a clown world, etc.

I'm expecting the usual hand-wringing soy-sucking social purity rags to expound about how this film endorses toxic behavior.

I'm also expecting the usual comics fantards to be up in arms about something something being too woke and it causes their tighty whities to ride up just a little too high for comfort.

Usual hot takes about male depression. Usual hot takes of free-range misandrists to bitch about men in between long tirades about their anxiety issues.

Usual month-long deep analysis by the YouTube autists like WhatCulture and Wisecrack, trying to extrapolate deeper meanings in the film, catalog all of the easter eggs, while the memes from one scene will continue to expand across social media like a bad cold sore.

I expect this movie to be a hot bed of social commentary, leading to absolutely nothing because everyone is too fucking lazy, and too busy staring vacuously at their phones and popping Xanax to do anything proactive.

And I just want the damn thing to at least be entertaining.
 
People on /tv/ have been joking that the clown pepe and clown world meme came about as the result of advanced marketing tools and I'm growing concerned that this might be true.

I don't think so, Pepe has been evolving a lot throughout the years. The movie just happens to come out at the right time.
