Surprised the line doesn't have a retinol, most drug store brands have a product that contains it and he has advocated for retinoids in the past. Stupid he includes a toner over it since most people agree that toners aren't necessary or too drying.

Aren't all the skincare teens convinced that scented products are demonic or something? I can't imagine a lot of people want to put something artificial smelling from neon pink packaging onto their skin. If you look at skincare products they're nearly all neutral, clean packaging. Light scents.

JS's company was pretty much fucked from the get-go because he focused heavily on eyeshadow and eyeshadow palettes in general are not money makers because no one buys them more than once. Customers will buy the same mascara, eyeliner, foundation, etc dozens of times spending hundreds of dollars but they're not going to buy three blue blood palettes. By the time he tried to pivot to concealer and skin products it was too late and no one was interested.

So, almost 0 hype prior to product release, skincare was boring, he's now made Beauty Killer 2. It's... fucking terrible?
Full set has the knife mirrors, Ice Crusher skin frost and for some reason, a shitty silver necklace.

I guess if you want to paint yourself into a city pigeon with electric green eyeshadow, there ya go.

There's apparently some drama around Nathan again, but seems to mostly be fans prying for info about Jeffree.

Jesus, that palette is ugly af and the mirrors are so tacky. Now, the original palette wasn't any better, but at least it was creative for its time. This new one looks like rejected colors from that damn Shane Dawson palette.

Whoever cleared him to produce cremated in May 2020 is fucking retarded. It does not help that Jeff is some weird Trisha Paytas unlikeable goblin either.

The business is in free fall it feels and the next few products are make or break. Jeff knows people will be watching him closely, skin is announced this week, I'll make a summary on.
This is late af but the reason Cremated came out when it did was because so much was spent developing the product that it would've cost his business way too fucking much to just cancel. When the business strat depends on the hype from launch to launch you can't really waste the cost of research, production, promotion and then have nothing to sell in its place for another couple of months. I remember he acknowledged the piss poor timing, but really was just an unfortunate coincidence.

Also, he's reviewed skin care a lot in the past and would always bitch about fragrances in the products. I'm really surprised he's scented his products again after the cotton candy scented setting powder, never mind fucking skin care, and having inconsistent scents? That's just strange. For someone who definitely knows what he's doing in this regard with his amount of experience it's a bit thunk-provoking. The scents and packaging make the products way too gimmicky for something that's supposed to be a daily regimen that you're supposed to replace consistently.

I haven't watched Jeffree since around the start of covid//BLM shit. Not to boycott him, just couldn't stand influencers at the time. I'm just wondering what the fuck's happened to him since I stopped paying attention. He used to be so clean with his designs and concepts, what is this? The consistency of the blood/lipstick on the packaging looks like ketchup, the colours are clashing, the actual shadows themselves are terrible. I know Jeffree's makeup has been called clown makeup before, and I disagree because I love a bit of colour, but how are these shades wearable for an everyday person? I don't feel inspired in the slightest when I look at the colour options. As a whole this looks amateur as fuck and a really poor showing for his company.

@CarbieDoll sorry I forgot to quote you originally, but at least the first Beauty Killer was like an homage to his Myspace days. It was ugly, tacky, pure thrash and that's exactly what I think of when I think about old-school Jeffree. Plus, wasn't it his first or second ever palette? This "sequel" though? It looks nothing like the original. If you were to put the shades next to each other I'd think they were from completely different concepts.

Jeffree had a 12 days of Christmas sale. Sold a lot of his stuff for $12. I got the Shane Dawson lipstick set and the Orgy palette. I don't think I have ever paid full price for his stuff.
Just a heads up, stores like TJ/TK Maxx will also sell his stuff occasionally if you don’t wanna pay full price for it/give him your money. Got the Shane Dawson mini palette and his lip gloss he did with Jouer from there.

Since when does that happen? He did videos in the past making fun of businesses who got their shit bargain binned there. He described it as the death of a business or something

The problem with scented skincare products really just comes down to skin sensitivity. If you patch test a fragranced skincare product and it absorbs fine with no irritation, then really it just comes down to personal preference whether you want to use it or not. Some people have skin just sensitive enough that artificial fragrance oils really do a number on them, making them break out in a rash or worsening their concerns.

TL,DR; Fragranced skincare isn't the devil people make it out to be elsewhere. If your skin can tolerate it, it does not harm.

That palette is pretty terrible. Not a single color there that can't be used for anything outside of the club, making it a complete waste of money if you're not going for the common hooker look. 2/10 shouldn't have tarnished the OG Beauty Killer's bad name.

This was end of 2020/start of 2021 here in the UK, I was shocked when I found his stuff there too, to be perfectly honest.

I don't come into beauty threads too often but I'll impart my thoughts that literally nobody asked for onto this thread.

I think the quality of product declined because he can't afford to do things how he used to since his fan base and subsequent customer base has declined as well. His best products were put out at the height of his career when he could afford to go the extra nine yards. He can't take those liberties now as a businessman.

Its also likely that he compensates by making style and ingredient choices that he wouldn't have in the past for the sole purpose of cost effectiveness. He might also be taking products that were rejected by other influencers/brands that were essentially already made and they sold the formula or concept to him. This happens a lot more than brands want to admit.

Some products definitely have the unmistakable touch of Jeffree, but then there's the rest that make me wonder if he's been left unsupervised to make bad choices or if he's getting someone else's sloppy seconds.

Products that end up at TJ Maxx and other such stores are usually products that didn't pass quality control, but are still safe to use and unpopular products, usually related to shades and colors. That's why you can find brand name makeup at these places but for example, those KVD lipsticks are all in shades of hot pink. A lot of palettes you find usually just suffer from being over pressed so the pigment doesn't come off as easily. It's hilarious that J* really thought he was above bargain shops. His lipsticks are always in stock at my local TJ Maxx.

Those overpressed pigment palettes are a huge steal though if you de-pot them into a sifter jar and basically turn them into a loose shadow. Lasts twice as long than it would if you kept them pressed.

The problem is finding a J*Star palette that has a decent enough color spread to even wanna buy it at a bargain price...

God that palette is so ugly but it also looks REALLY cheap like Claires level cheap. The grabbing for "nostalgia" when there is nothing to be nostalgic about is just sad and makes your brand look aimless.

So either he knows these are a dud product and is trying to sell out fast to not make them again. The mark up must be insanely high if you want to make a $17 differential. Those skin frosts too have a different composition compared to the larger ones because they are so chalky and break.

Let's expect a jawbreaker 2 palette because it's 3 years old now.

So we got our failed launch list now
Blood Sugar relaunch - no one cared
Pricked collection - no one cared
Valentines box, did not even sell out
Skincare brand - got awful reviews
Beauty Killer 2 - no one actually cared except the 10 people on J* reddit reposting the same look for the 200th time.

It appears our fave goblin has 2 new products out tomorrow being eye shadow highlighter pictured here:

This stuff is a waste already as his highlighter in not swear proof and I can bet this is like $36

Next is his Mascara range which is not waterproof, HOW THE FUCK IN 2021 DO YOU MAKE A MASACRA NOT WATERPROOF!?
1648811198782.png

That's the look of someone conning someone out of $30. That packaging is fucking vile and looks cheap as hell. Then it dawned on me look at his packaging as of late BK2 is cheap too and that is how you can tell he is hard for money. Also 26k likes for a multi million account is dreadful.

I can bet end of this year Jeffree is shutting down because all these products that are cheap and tacky don't scream luxury brand. It screams colourpop and their formula is actually good.

I don't think it's Jeffree's week at all. Behind the scenes, he must be absolutely seething because other brands are coming for what he was famous for and doing it better. When fans say it's a trend change. Bitch when FUCKING PERIWRINKLE has VOTED THE COLOUR OF 2022. Pastel is in trend this year and there is tons of 90s nostalgia happening. (finally, love me some pastel). I will recant what I said prior because I did say in I think November last year hot colors are out of trend, I was wrong.

First, is KimChi Chic being sold in CVS (Target) this is pretty big as KimChi is all about color and pastels. Very hot colors and always bright, the line I originally bought when it first started and everything but the eye shadows were great. KimChi addressed this in a video and said it was due to experimenting and the formulas will be far better and from what I know they are far better. KimChi and the next person mentioned talk a lot, so KimChi has great things ahead and really takes in feedback well.

Trixie Motherfucking Matel! This bitch is killing it and just outright taking Jeffree's audience away from him. Trixie is funny, dark-humored and his makeup brand Trixie Cosmetics is killing it and saw growth last year. The makeup industry shrank by 30% last year according to reports, so to see growth is impressive.

So this felt like shade at Jeffree because the product type and timing before his Friday BOGOF sale.
The blushes look great and retail for $16 in a nice component. The timing I know is completely random but hilarious. A makeup brush kit (12 pieces) for $110 with a container is actually reasonable. I know people who use his product and it's really solid.
Trixie also produces content similar to Jeff's old content too so has built up a very strong relationship with the audience. The audience itself is not as SJW either so Jeff's ideal audience but even they avoid him.
He did this and still laughs about it.

The new Natasha Denona palette just released and is pretty much a dupe of JawBreaker for the same price. Dupe in it's the same energy as in pastels but you can actually fucking blend them.
1649161032651.png

I have used it first hand and it's a dream whilst being $50, so there's that.

Finally in the last 4 months a lot of stylists have been going from a very detailed eye and face composition to a more muted and realistic look. Now this SHOULD help Jeff because this Euphoria make up style trend should actually make him sell product. He is releasing an eye frost which corelates this trend. However his frosts and shadows do horrible in humid or wet climates.

Another tidbit too is I caught some of the Jeff influencers trying to sell the eye frosts in recent videos and they have all said they have had it sitting around at home for 2 months. He clearly makes you sign a contract which says you cannot wear them out until announced which is stupid. It says how unwearable it is if you are saying don't wear it prior.
