Anastasia Beverly Hills is pretty notorious for staining with reds and pinks too.
I think it’s just something that happens with highly loaded pigments.

I couldn't make it through the video. He was the weird Hot Topic kid in high school. Shocking he'd end up as a pink encrusted designer whore as an adult.
 
God that palette looked just so... generic. As a make up designer I think that would be the worst response you could get. Way too much product too. 2 ranges in less than a month is insane considering his price point.

Even in the Midwest which isn’t exactly edgy.
Anything with Jeffree will sell no matter how godawful the color story is.
When he recommended the ELF pore putty primer in a video, we couldn’t keep it in stock because Jeffree said it was “really good” and people wanted it regardless of skin type.
Most of the time I could tell if someone was wearing JS eye/lip makeup because of how eye bleed it was.
Liquid matte light blue lipstick is a terrible thing in person, but genderspecials and danger hairs seem to love the weirder colors he puts out.

New palette from Jeffree called Weirdo. He should've released this instead of that God awful, tacky Cremated pallete if he wanted to go for Goth aesthetics.

It's the vegan red dye that's used instead of carmine (a pigment made from beatles) that causes the staining. Actually vegan eyeshadows are technically not eye-safe because of it. If you check the back of their boxes they should actually say not to use around the eyes haha. I personally hate it and find it funny that vegans would even care tbh because I've never met a vegan who wouldn't squash a bug. But they probably go for the label without knowing what wasn't vegan in the first place so I can't really blame them

Surprisingly he used to post a decent amount about god so I think he's actually a theist. A lot of people in the scene days surprisingly were quite religious despite their appearance and potentially blasphemous antics. Many played into it a bit, especially the gay ones, but many actually believed in god and used christian influences in their work.

Jeffree of course didn't do anything that unique with the concept (generic bishop/pope iconography, photoshoots with him and bibles, etc), and honestly I think his narcissism played a hand in his spirituality as he posted more about god's gifts to him than his posts about god being great against sunsets when he was on tumblr, but I think he at least believes he's a believer. I wouldn't call him a proper Christian or anything, but I guess monotheistic at least (if he's still that way and hasn't lost it as he got richer). I remember thinking how funny it was that the person posting christian posts on my dash was JS of all damn people back then

Shane tried encouraging him to do it in his shitty first "doc", still wish we'd seen a terrible resurgence of his scene queen music when that happened. I actually figured that was how Shane was going to try and "fix" Jeffree when it came up. Like it was going to be a "victory story" where Jeffree makes some song about love and acceptance to rekindle the career he floundered in and do PR on his racism. Just imagine Shane in awful drag wandering around in the back of the video thinking he's hot shit and giving "director's advice" or even as the director due to his "directing experience". It would have been legendary to see those two egos make a music video with serious budget and a Jeffree yes-man at the helm. They could do anything and my god could it be the fail of a lifetime if we got it.
