The issue is there are no good light pinks to use as a base. A lot of the pinks look very similar and whilst I am a total whore for pink, I am 50/50. I don't hate it but the color story has issues. Like who would it kill for a very pale salmon/pastel pink with white undertones for a base.
Yes, exactly, and maybe a dreamy rose gold. I know rose gold is overplayed, but that's because it looks great on literally every skin tone and color.

I know he was going for edgy and avant garde, but to me it came off as try hard, contrived, unoriginal, and therefore, absurdist in a way he did not intend.

eta: I do like the book concept for the palette. I'm a sucker for that kind of shit.

New collection - thoughts?

Bene Gesserit-looking motherfucker.

Also, yak hair makeup brushes when?

If he could sell Yak hair brushes for a cheaper price say $20 - $25, he is set for life. I hope he does it honestly because Yak's hair is really good in brushes due to how resilient it is. It cleans well too which is a mega plus.

Rose gold would have been perfect actually, using the same blend as CEO from blood money and call it a day. It blends really well and is probably the best gold eye shadow I've seen. The bible palette shape is great too.

Sorry to keep bringing up the vegan thing, but a good deal of his fans are either cruelty free or vegetarian/vegan and up to this point his brushes have been successful because they’re all synthetic fibers so no one has to debate on the morality of natural hair brushes.

Natural hair brushes are in a lot of ways superior, with the texture of yak hair I personally think it wouldn’t work well for liquid products but it would be great for powders.
Like a nice dense eye brush that doesn’t shed bristles.

It’s a great idea but I don’t know if he’ll do it.
But then again “All Natural Brushes made with yak hair from Jeffree’s actual ranch” might be lucrative.

No! Stand by your love of rose gold! It is the superior gold. Followed by yellow. If anything, I think white gold is the one that’s played out. I don’t understand the concept of making gold look less like gold and more like silver. Baffling. I get that yellow doesn’t look good on everyone, but I still think white gold is tacky.

But back on the topic of this launch, I also felt like he did the most. It seems like every launch just gets gaudier and gaudier.

A lot of people love the look of silver but are allergic to it, so they wear white gold. It gives them the aesthetic without the allergic reaction (rash, blisters, pain, etc.).

Those look like one-off costumes too, the designer is pretty damned talented. Working with wire and silk is not that easy for shaping. Hey, it's better than Boregy! That palette was just awful alround. Rose gold is a great color if he released a mini shadow with those tones.

Do you know if the comment from the 48 year old woman is real?
The comment is real, and it looks like the source is a real account, too.

Kinda amazes me that women that old can be into something that's clearly marketed for teenage girls. But then again, we have adult men fawning over funko's. And she's not fat and generally look bad.
His body look just skinny, there's no muscle tone. If he have eaten more, he would be chubby.

I actually really like this one, but I don't know dick about color stories or whatever, and I wouldn't buy from Yakree anyway.

The new Star Ranch palette. Currently only available in mystery boxes.View attachment 2391695

Autistic makeup rant but it’s an *ok* palette imo, but at least it speaks to the ranch trash aesthetic he was going for?

The first two rows are ok imo since 99% of the time people end up wearing neutrals anyways, not a fan of that stark frosty white shade but it could work into a more dramatic look or maybe could be sheered out sparingly under the brow bone?

The bottom row is tragic imo. It’s really really tricky to pull off a “light bright blue” eyeshadow look without looking like a Waffle House waitress named Brandy and I think most people would at most use it to highlight an eye look or do a pop of bright blue on the lower lash line (which imo is cute with a soft/nude lip).

I do have to say I like that last blue though. A nice dark royal blue can do a lot of things, it’s pretty as a lash liner and you could do a fun blue smoky eye pairing it with some of the nudes (but there’s no dark brown in there to help blend out the smoky eye and to keep it from looking muddy- sadness).
