After the reaction scores were hidden, I (falsely) hoped that the number of worthless attention-thirsty posts would be somewhat curbed since updoots are more-or-less moot now, but it seems to have only made things worse since "tourists" can now post with zero consequences from negative sticker notifications or a lowered reaction score.
The experiment has failed. Bring reaction scores byaaaaaack.

God, quit whining bro.
Fucking Mangosteen Farms becomes more real by the day

This will stop happening entirely if you stop featuring Bossmanjack null
He's a dogshit lolcow that's going to be stuck on Groundhog Day until he unironically kills himself. Money go up, money go down, shit gets broken, shit gets fixed. If this is what the latest cry fit is over then maybe recognize the people who act like BMJ is the hottest shit are the same sycophants from MATI. They're just kiss asses and parasocialites.
BMJ sucks fucking dick and I'm tired of hearing about him. Put a sticky notice at the top of his thread for the latest update on which of the 4 stages that crackhead is currently in or stop bitching that the endless dopamine machine seems to be broken.

" In particular, I'd like to try a delay between opening a thread you've never read before after it has been featured, and being able to make a new post to it."

This sounds gay as hell, bro.

Also, maybe if people got notifications for their 32087598325 neg rates for shitting up threads, they would curb such behavior. But probably not.
Some do though.
Negative dopamine hits from downvote notifications are definitely a strong deterrent to some people (source: myself).

Logically-speaking, the phrase "I don't care" is self-defeating.

Because if you didn't care, you wouldn't even care to tell other people.

I hate these. If your community happenings post needs to be as long as an OP then it’s probably not a very funny or interesting happening.
The problem is that most people don't read the op after a post in a thread gets featured.
People don't look for broader context on the lolcow and just keep on scrolling.

In my estimation, less than 5 % of user read the op after a post gets featured in a thread.
People make longer happening post to contain the zoomies attention with jpegs and videos.

In a coversation of more than 2 people only very small percentage has something important to say, but everyone is talking.
I don't think you can do anything about it, it's a human nature to indulge in idle chatter.

I see now what is meant with the featurefags. In the thread where people counted to 100 with movies. I found out about it through the feature too, but didn't post. After the feature the post rate exploded, where what pnce was nothing but counting with movies was now 70% good job, you are autistic, don't care posts. It seens like it fucks up the highlights system too because the massive influx of reactions to a single post seems to raise threshold too much.

I'd say a similar thing would happen with "soft-featuring" when a person of interest posts in a thread. ie when Null or some autist with a sizable gang of people following him around posts in a thread, that post gets a shit ton of reactions and lots of replies in that thread from people completely uninterested with the topic. This also seems to thros off the highlight system where all future highlights are only this random autist arguing with the 7 people who appeared to reply to his initial post.

A good example of this was with thegooddoctor where any time he posted in a thread with light activity there would be an explosion of replies from people with no prior involvement, and his post gets 5x total reactions than any other in the thread, which the highlights don't seem to recover from very quickly. This would mean the 7 page thread running for over 2 years would be up to 20 pages with 13 pages of unrelated arguing from people who were previously unaffiliated with the thread.

In short, it's not only featurefags going "I don't care", there can also be cases where people who have big followings of people monitoring his posts who will lay waste to any thread he posts in.

Despite being 13% of the lolcows, Bossmanjack commits 50% of the happenings. Or something like that.

Like other are saying, the Balldo and Bossmanjack spam in community happenings gets unbearable at times, I swear every page there has at least two posts of each. The people who care this much about Bossmanjack and Rekieta are already following their threads. There doesn't need to be 5 posts per page in CH detailing every single thing they do, that's what their threads are for.

good. people who use highlights to read threads are faggots
Knowing this community I'm sure there are people autistic enough to read entire threads before commenting but the highlight feature is probably the most efficient way to browse longer threads. You don't typically miss any context since like half of all comments are shitty regurgitated takes, which is more annoying than seeing someone call a thread and its inhabitants gay.

i will decide which posts are important, not an algorithm made by a bunch of trannies that tried to snuff out the forums by cancelling the software license

my autism demands it

I promise that during the latest Bossman segment the entire thing felt like a re-run, but what really got me was when he started explaining the really cheap and incorrectly installed door and it was word-for-word the exact same explanation as a stream from months ago.

Its could be that many people don’t understand how to use a forum as they’ve never used one, before now. As if KF was baby’s first forum for many of the faggots fagging shit up. Social media trained monkeys.

Acting like a mindless idiot showcases the trained monkey you’ve become, though keep hope. Just don’t be one & leave that faggotry for your usual shit sites. If faggots could just get over themselves, shit would be cooler & more easy breezy beautiful cover girl.
