she’s considering another presidential run, telling a New York City audience on Friday that she would be well suited to the office.

During a far-ranging interview with Kara Swisher of the technology website Recode(Ms. Swisher is also a contributor to The Times’s Opinion section), Mrs. Clinton initially said “no” when asked whether she wanted to run for president again. She then paused and repeated “no.”

But after Ms. Swisher noted the slight hesitation, Mrs. Clinton seemed to reconsider her response, saying that a major task of the next Democratic president will be improving the international standing of the United States.

“Well, I’d like to be president,” she said, during the public taping at the 92nd Street Y of Ms. Swisher’s podcast. "The work would be work that I feel very well prepared for having been at the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department, and it’s just going to be a lot of heavy lifting.”

Mrs. Clinton has become a more visible presence in recent weeks, increasing the number of her public appearances and raising money for Democrats across the country. Last week, she spoke at a fund-raiser for Donna Shalala, a former Clinton administration official, who is running for a House seat in Florida.

“She will always be a winner and I’ll always be with her,” said Ms. Shalala, introducing Mrs. Clinton to a room full of 200 Democratic donors in Miami.

Mrs. Clinton said she wouldn’t consider a possible run in 2020 until after the midterm elections next week.

“I’m not even going to even think about it until we get through this Nov. 6 election,” she said. “But I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure we have a Democrat in the White House come January of 2021.”

Should she mount a third presidential bid, Mrs. Clinton would be entering a Democratic field crowded with potential contenders, a major shift from 2016, when nearly no Democrats were eager to challenge her.

Mrs. Clinton said she expects a crowded field of as many as 20 Democrats.

“I think we’d have a number of excellent candidates who would be really formidable on the campaign trail, but let’s wait and see who it is,” she said. "I’m just going to wait and watch what happens.”

Mrs. Clinton dismissed some of the calls for her to retreat from public life as sexist.

“There were no articles telling Al Gore to go away or John Kerry to go away or John McCain or Mitt Romney to go away,” she said. “Mitt Romney is going to the Senate, that’s where he’s going.”

My take away is that old people in government need a tech security advocate to wrangle them into safe use of technology.
Clinton/Wu 2020, all the nostalgic appeal of Clinton, combined with a tech savvy, cybersecurty oriented woman. Plus, Wu's Mississippi roots will help bring in the heartland while the coasts will follow Hillary.

How could they possibly lose?

I think Wang/Wu would be better just because then we can call them The Wu-Wang Clan.

voting for a woman is stupid. They'd just talk about shopping, shoes, boys, and other gay shit. Women are such fags.

Imagine Wu becoming VP and having Brennan and Null sent to Guantanamo Bay for being GamerGate terrorists.

You know, that's not a bad idea. Its not uncommon for parties to throw fodder at incumbents while they prepare for the "Real" election.
HRC wouldn't just let the DNC run minimal effort attempt. She would force them to put 110% of the party's resources in to it and spend another billion dollars on it. Resources they will need for 2024 and down ticket races would be flushed down the toilet for nothing.

The real reason why I like Pelosi- she's the only Democrat who could tell Hillary Clinton to stay out of the race without having to fear for her life.

I won't be convinced that she's not going to run until someone other than her is given the nomination. She's way too delusional not to try.

I doubt she has the money to do a general election campaign at this point. Nobody been donating to the Clinton Foundation these past 3 years.

I guess it depends on how much pull she still has in the DNC.

Influence with the DNC is all a matter of money, ever since Obama dismantled their national fundraising apparatus and made them reliant on the big campaign donors. Now Clinton has no money to spare on the campaign, she won't be able to buy much influence.

I guess she'll have to use some money she stored in some offshore accounts.
Don't get me wrong, even with the diminishing losses suffered by the Clinton Foundation in recent years, she still has an enormous personal wealth, but it's far from enough to independently fund a billion dollar campaign and still be counted among the 1% even if all the campaign fund is spent down to the last penny. Just another area in which she falls short of President Trump.

She's probably just going to badger and threaten Hollywood with accusations of white supremacy if they don't contribute to her campaign.

I have a feeling she isn't going to try for a run for President in 2020 but I do think she is going to try to be VP. She has been buddying up to Warren lately which makes me think she may try to weasel in for VP run Warren as a party unity ticket as a way to try and unite the two factions in the Party and appease boomers.

I also think it is possible if Biden gets the nomination (I am pretty convinced he won't but lets say he does) he will pick her or Harris as his VP to have a mixed gender ticket.

If she's deluded enough to run, the DNC may let her doing because this election is already lost. Saving Warren for whomever Republicans bring in 2024 isn't the worst idea they've had in the last 5 years. Neither is saving others like Buttgig and whoever from humiliation as this drags on.
It's time for Buttigieg to pull out and go do a few terms as governor

She also has no credibility and still owes all the people who thought they were buying influence last time when she pooched it.
