I'm selling my zines and my handmade notebooks at the Richmond Zine fest next weekend, and currently I'm trying to write a zine/scrapbook about the five years I had a daily show fan site and what a crazy ass fangirl I was about the show back then. I do each section by year (2000-2005), and I'm only on 2002 right now. It's already a monster at 20+ pages. oops.
I accidentally poisoned myself at work. A pallet of granular insecticide tore open while I was getting it out of the overhead with a forklift and it just came raining down onto the floor from right above my head. Both myself and the coworker that helped clean it up ended up getting sick almost immediately afterwards.
I'm still feeling kinda nauseous. At this point it's obvious that it wasn't lethal or anything, but waiting for my system to purge whatever got in feels shitty. I'm a bit miffed that my job didn't fill out an incident report either.
For those of you curious, it was seven bags of this:

So after my boyfriend offered to gift me Skyrim in a week or so to cheer me up, I dug up the details to get into my e-mail I originally signed up to Steam with.
I managed to recover the e-mail and now I'm back on Steam. Haven't managed to fully install any games yet, my internet sucks Sonichu balls.
But, I'm letting Left 4 Dead 2 download tonight and if anyone wants to add me on Steam they can PM me.
So I'm doing a little better after this kind of awful day.
I've been having problems with my left ear clogging up while I'm lying down. It's fucking annoying so I asked my sister, who completed nurse training, to flush it. She didn't see any wax come out so used some eardrops. My ear has been clogged now for about 4 hours. Even popping my ears doesn't help like it usually does.
I've spent the evening sitting in my favorite chair, sipping rum, and re-reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy while listening to the In Flames discography on shuffle.
I don't know if it's awesome or depressing as fuck yet.
I am having an oral procedure done tomorrow to pull a tooth and fix a severe infection in the root. Right now I am on some strong pain meds and I feel like flying. It is scary how fast they work.

I've been hired on as a research assistant for some dry project about hospitals in the post WWII era. A lot of data entry. But for a work study to make living money during nursing school, it works until I can get a job as PCT somewhere after this academic year.
I'm in the middle of this five mile run and I'm not breaking a stride at all and I'm feeling really good about myself and then a fucking bug flies up my nose. Stride broken. Good feelings out the fucking window. Fuck bugs. Particularly the bugs that fly.

well, the computer i use at home officially died but i managed to save all my shit. my bro will be getting a new hard drive, and i think i'll do the same and get linux and wine on my old comatose comptoor. i have very modest needs.
as for things in general, well they're all coming together. i've been kinda "irl-networking" with other vegans as i do my job and sometimes when i'm off work they'll come up and say hi. one in particular seems quite interested in me! comes up to whatever station i'm manning. yeah it's foodservice. i'm sure my coworkers appreciate that i'm very quiet and serious on the job, even though i'm "THE" vegan.
