Kind of a weird day. Wife went to work. I was feeling pretty down in the dumps for some reason, so I went for a long drive in the countryside with my toddler-age daughters. We stopped off at a river side about forty miles out of town and just sat for a while. Then I took them back to town and got them a Happy Meal. Then they went down for a nap and I did some organizing in the basement, and that seemed to perk my mood up quite a bit. Found some books I'd thought I'd lost, so that's cool.
 
Staying in Charlottesville for tonight and I fell asleep to some weird Jesus thing on TV about how Jesus had a brother named James. I woke up because my dad started snoring.
 
I'm continuing to teach myself programming languages, currently Ruby. I'm also getting better at using the windows command line.

I'm currently waiting for the concord grapes to come in so I can put those two large carboys to good use. Maybe I'll split the batch up and put some on oak chips to see how it compares to non oaked wine.
 
My internet got cut out for some reason for most of the day, so I went out to dinner with some folks, and my (kind of sort of) niece that's just a year old gave me a black eye on accident with a fork. :oops:

I built a couple water rockets and launcher a few weeks ago. I had a successful launch of my first design today save for it landing nose first in the middle of the road. It didn't get run over and thank god it didn't hit a vehicle. There's only minor damage to the nose cone.
 
I'm doing good so far, just doing some online driving tests. Went with my brother for lunch. Talked about the upcoming games, Far Cry 3, and such.
 
This cold is kicking my ass now. I hate getting sick. :(

I also checked into pawning my computer but found it was nowhere near how much I needed to get my rent money. I've got a couple ideas in mind to get the cash though, which is a good thing.
 
Today sucked. I'm not usually one to complain, but I can't seem to shake this funk that I've been in for the past couple of weeks. I guess I should be concerned about how low my mood's been, but quite frankly "meh, fuck it" sounds better.

My three-year-old is into dinosaurs. Everything is a dinosaur now. Dinosaur has become a verb, adverb, noun and adjective. She describes cats as "dinosaur ming-mings" and eggs as "dinosaur eggs" and her sippy cup as "dinosaur milk."

It's pretty cute, but I'm getting burnt out on dinosaurs. Oh, well, at least it's better than the princess infatuation that we had last month.
