Nevermind the fact that the Democrats, even ignoring John Fetterman's obvious "Yes on War" vote with the Republicans, would not have had enough votes to block the invasion because they're the minority party, in no small part to leftists like Hasan who made it their mission to ensure Kamala Harris lost, and Democrats would lose their seats in the House and Senate as punishment for Palestine.

Trump was able to force MTG out of congress for less, and he's working on getting Massie primaried, any Republican voting against this war powers resolution would be fucking skewered.

On a completely, non-Hasan adjacent tangent, the Democrats *could* force a war powers resolution vote just to get everyone that is pro-war on the record. You know, for midterm posterity. They still plan to do so next week but the dynamics have shifted completely. I believe Massie and Khanna are pushing it through.

I strongly believe that Trump's hold over the republican party is almost over. Hit me with the rainbows, but I'm calling it now, even if this plays out as well as it did in Venezuela, house/senate will be throwing Trump under the bus in 6 months on the economy alone.

Where is the contradiction between being a Palestinian-American and wanting to give Taiwan weapons and defend the country in case the Chinese invade? It seem pretty coherent to me, given that both, Taiwan and Palestine, are semi recognized states that are being actively predated upon by their bigger and stronger neighbor.

Also, didn't this chick skipped a meeting with their constituents to stream with Hasan? And then claimed that she was sleepy, allegedly narcolepsy, and that's why she skipped the meeting?

Despite being a "leftist" who supposedly values individual freedoms and liberties, at every turn Hasan has made sure to signal his support for the Ayatollah's dictatorial actions and has encouraged the continuation of his oppressive rule. All that matters to him is that Iran gets to exist in perpetuity as a constant threat to the US, Israel, NATO, and whatever other west-aligned forces exist.

The reason Iran was even in this position in the first place was the Ayatollah's mismanagement of the water crisis and the implosion of the Iranian economy. That, combined with his violent suppression of the voice of the people (something that supposed socialists/communists like Hasan are supposed to care about) gave the US and Israel the prime chance to topple the Ayatollah.
