Hasan has too much self-awareness to be like the rest of the leftists. Not enough to not dress like Mao but enough to know that many Chinese would not like his get-up. Hasan is and always has been a tankie with no ability to think about politics at an advanced level; he functions under the assumption that nations are either always good or always bad and whenever a "good" nation does something bad, there just has to be a way to explain it away or flat out create a double standard when both the "good" and "bad" nations do the same thing. He will never admit to this because it makes him look like an even more monumental retard but it shows that his entire political ideology is emotionally based and akin to picking a sports team rather than performing any serious analysis.
He likely does have some form of autism alongside it given his horrible social skills and poor emotional regulation.
It really bares mentioning, Hasan is very dumb, but has been surrounded by political maneuvering and media shenanigans his entire life, so he's picked up a very basic repertoire of rhetorical tactics that he uses in almost every situation. They are very effective on idiots, but he is unable to improvise or adapt these tactics to new situations (or even enough to make it less obvious).
