You just had to say it was the typical NGO charity. That is how all NGO charities work after all. Skim 50% off the top tax free, waste 49% on doing nothing helpful, then give the last remaining 1% to the people who are actually helping.

The reason most people give to charity isn't to help other people, its to feel good about the idea of helping without actually lifting a finger. It really doesn't matter if their money is being skimmed or not since they don't care if it does help. As long as they get headlines saying they contributed to "x" funding goal and get a feeling of "helping" some nebulous cause that is all that matters.

Mr. Beast actually went out there and cured 1000 people of their blindness. I guarantee you the absurd amount of money Hasan "raised" won't help a single person.

I figured this was the case, but wasn't certain enough to make the claim. There are probably some charities that aren't (or at least are much less) scammy like this one, but that doesn't appear to be the applicable to this instance.

Softgiving is just the broker, and while scummy, they aren't the actual charity. That would be CARE International.

Here's them describing what they're doing in Turkey in their own words:

Who knows if they actually do real work, but considering that most of their work is "refugee" resettlement and they have a disclaimer that lets them spend money wherever they want, it's more likely that their real business is human trafficking and not relief efforts. Charity rating sites like Charity Navigator are useless because they exclusively look at finances which are easily gamed and not at the actual effects of the NGO's spending and actions.

Mr. Beast's charity is verifiable as we saw the surgeries that he paid for with his own money in the video he made. Hasan's charity is a black hole that he isn't willing to donate a significant amount of his own money to.

Yeah, this is his thing. I posted it a while back, but he took a chunk of the sales from some hoodies for charity he did.

That’s why every “socialism when no house, he’s preaching the good word he doesn’t have to go out and do anything, Hasan is a charity king” cope is just dog shit.
 
It was patently obvious this was a dodgy grift because if he wanted to help he could have donated to an established charity like Red Cross/Red Crescent's Turkey and Syria relief fund.

The fact he needs a donator event means he's doing exactly what Mr Beast did, except worse, because not only is he doing it for publicity but he's also not even helping people effectively.

I didn't like Mr. Beast, but now knowing that he upset Hasan HGH Piker, he has a bit more respect of mine as well.
I don't think Cenk is involved really, I feel like Hasan's motivation is solely his ego and the need to one-up Mr. Beast after last week where everyone was criticizing him for being the king of slacktivism (highly likely a tax break for the 'charity' donation factors into all of this as well)
 
mr beast's videos have way too much zoomer energy for me to enjoy but i have nothing but respect for the guy and all the good he's done for a lot of people. fuck hasan and anyone shitting on the beast man

UNESCO and the Red Cross have had scandals in which workers raped children in respective countries sometimes establishing prostitution rings. And this is just what got out. Largely this has been suppressed by the media. Because this organizations are too big to fail! Please donate!

Some have theorized some of these NGO's are actually fronts for children and human trafficking. But you didn't hear that from me.
