I don't remember the full thing but I thought Val says it was shrinkage that saved him and they just brought Bobbitt out to sell the idea it got cut off and he was giving Val emotional support or some shit before the reveal and then it made no sense to have him out there. It just seemed like one of the Vinces remembered that news story and wrote the angle just as an excuse to get him on the show.

I'd simply agree that Graham was more influential than Hogan, but definitely not more important. Billy could have been even bigger than he was, but couldn't get past his personal demons once he had to drop the WWWF title to Backlund.
