Jim was actually respectful towards Hogan compared to a lot of the people he shit on when they came out republican to him. Honestly I liked the video, Jim was fair and balanced and even he was sad at the grave dancing people were doing.
You have a low expectation of Jim if you give him credit for leaving politics out of a memorial show.

He should hitch a ride home with POTUS.

To be real for a second. Why the fuck has Drew not just moved his family to The States yet?
It’s what I would’ve done. Also, no citizenship in all this time?
He does. Apparently the problem here is he only took his UK passport with him when he flew there to attend a wedding.

Warrior was a huge draw as the IC champ. Anyone who says Bret pulled the sword out of the stone has deluded themselves via his workrate. Bret and Shawn, being at the top, almost put the company out of business.
The New Generation era was too goofy for its own good. Cartoonish gimmicks (Mantaur, Warlord, Bob "Spark Plug" Holly for example), the 1993 steroid scandal, bad writing, doing things like giving Diesel/Kevin Nash the WWF championoship and increasingly serious competition from WCW played a part in making that period of the WWF so infamous. Wrestlers with a good work rate supplement a promotion's success, they can only do so much if the whole package is lacking.

If Bret could draw, it wouldn't have made a difference what else they were doing. He didn't draw flies before the that terrible era.

His biggest problem was that he's a great technical wrestler, probably one of the best of all time, but he always had issues with cutting good promos and coming across as a bland good guy. Hart was not a larger then life figure like Hogan, Savage and the Ultimate Warrior were.

Better time then ever to capitalize on Hulk Hogan merchandise. I wonder if Jeff Jarrett has anything to do with this?

Apparently, LJN was sold to Acclaim Entertainment in 1990. Acclaim later went bankrupt in 2004. A group of investors launched a new company using the Acclaim trademark in 2025. Jarrett is one of the people involved in the corporate revival.

They’re doing a three hour countdown show for summerslam both nights. They must have some sort of information about how these pre-shows are getting great viewership or something.

I was a little kid back then, Warrior was very popular, he was absolutely the right guy to try and give a shot to besides Hogan. Hindsight is 20/20, but there was nobody else to try and go with in 1990 besides Warrior.

Should have clarified. You’re right. Warrior was the only option and Vince had the right idea. It wasn’t until after that Vince realized he had a lunatic as his champion and brought in Flair. I think Vince tried to pivot to Flair vs Hogan but he just hated the matches. Then he tried to pivot to Sid but Sid infamously told Vince he wanted to stay heel. So he just went back to Hogan and Savage until Bret. But he didn’t even want to give the full run to Bret and signed Luger which was another failure.

There is this famous story where after Luger basically tears down an entire quartered off sound stage by accident Scott Hall jumps up and goes “Is anybody else fucking watching this guy? Just fucking give it to me!” In my view, the right guy was always Razor Ramon. I’m not sure why Vince just didn’t give it him.

Both of their brains have been conditioned to be anti Hogan for 30 years, they couldn't help but use loaded terms. e.g. "ripped off" , "stole".

When Flair dies, they won't say he "stole" anything from Buddy Rogers.

I caught that, and I expect Cornette bias with these topics. I did think he was fair to Hulk and credited Hulk with a ton.

Scott Hall was a entertaining guy but he was not a reliable one at all, he had a lot of drinking issues that were only exacerbated once he was in WCW to the point that they were making a gimmick out of it.

So many faggots made it a point to NOT clap after the video. CM Punk really stood out on that- he looked like he hated being there so badly that it gave him fucking hemorrhoids. Yuck. Not that I'm even a fan of punk but did he have to seethe THAT badly? I got second hand embarrassment from the seethe.

its absolute nonsense and the fact they choose to disrespect Hogan makes the industry look bad, especially with all Hogan gave for it
Is this person in the business?
Do Americans really lynch niglets because they wolf whistled at a white woman in a grocery store and then proceeds to shoot at the memorial of the niglet?
Yes, but mostly in the Democrat Deep South post 1915 when Woodrow Wilson showed “Birth of a nation” thus re-invigorating the dying Klan and bolstering their numbers after Grant made them all enemies of the state in the 1870’s.
Also, they didn’t lynch Emmett Till, they beat him to a bloody pulp until he had no face and then threw him in the river.

Kid was from Chicago where Blacks weren’t treated like subhumans but went down to visit family in the south. His mother didn’t want him to go because she feared something would happen to him.
Back then, it was an unwritten rule that blacks had to move off the sidewalk and stand there with their heads down when white people walked by in the Deep South.
Turns out the dude is married
You have unlocked: The Bad Ending.

Agreed. Ultimate Warrrior was extremely over. If he could have improved his in-ring stuff, so every match didn't have to be a squash (to hide the Warriors' limitations), they could have done better with him at the top. having said that, I think another issue was the opponents. If I'm remembering correctly, most of the guys available at the time were guys Hogan had already beaten.
