Kayfabe has been dead for a long time but at the same time it's strange how pro-wrestling relishes in how fake it is all the time these days.

Honorable mention for the WCW Disney tapings in the '90s. I once had a Disney adult friend (she has good qualities, too) read the wikipedia entry on that debacle, she knew next to nothing about wrestling and couldn't stop laughing. Kayfabe has been dead longer than some people on this forum have been alive.

The IWC never calls out TK on this and the few times he's been asked about it in interviews he kind of sheepishly said stuff along the lines of their being no need for it because everyone in AEW is already treated fairly.

It's also why the unions in the professional sports kind of suck as well, particularly in the NFL; the interests of fhe top players and the average players do not align at all.

Also the promise that the wrestlers would have health insurance plans covered/provided by the company. Turns out that was only for the executives. Whoops.

there's an episode of Taxi that totally gives up the work, also an Are You Being Served where one of the World Of Sport guys teaches the poof how to call it in the ring and get heat from the crowd

its been the same thing since AEW formed to most of the IWC, its the Tony Good Vince Bad thing, like there were people staunchly defending TK when he added injury time to the Lucha Bros contracts despite Vince doing the same thing to various other wrestlers throughout the years, they can't ever engage in criticism of their favorite fed its peak Internet Brain

Been rewatching old TNA. NGL I love the documentary style filming they did. Think a show in this format would've done well tbh.

Flaaaaair! FLAAAAAAAIR!

According to Bluesky celebrating Hulk Hogan's death is a good thing that should be allowed because some glowies shot at some Emmett Till sign.
