Vince probably fired Madigan because he thought that Madigan could read his thoughts and was stealing his idea
I wish we would get a real definitive documentary on Vince. Not the fluff piece that was produced but an actual one that analyzes him and dives deep into his whole life. Seriously, Vince is one crazy mother fucker.

There's so much shit in wrestling that would make good documentaries. It's such a carny industry but because of that the carnies won't talk about the other carnies because they may need them in the future or the carnies have shit on them, too. Even Dark Side of the Ring is pretty skewed and has a lot of inaccuracies

It'd be tough to get an accurate deep dive into Vince. I would love to see one.

It's not just Vince, either. Lawler and a few others would be tough to get all the info on.

There's probably an alternate universe where Brock Lesnar failed to become "The Next Big Thing" and ended up as "The Final Solution (to the wrestling problem, we swear)" with Heyman in tow.
When WCW had the coalition to end Hulkamania they brought in Jeep Swenson of Batman and Robin fame and were going to call him the Final Solution to end Hulkamania only to change it to the Ultimate Solution like a week later.

A 20th century All-American, for better and worse.

Lol forget it. That shit’s all following them to the grave.
Better off for it too, do you really want to know how nearly every wrestler you liked was a carny full of flaws and very broken individual? From Pedro Morales to John Cena and prior and later, “good, decent folk” don’t become raging successes in wrestling. They become Stevie Richards.

I pirated an audio book copy of Ringmaster recently. It's not too bad besides the hand wringing over the Vince/Trump connection and racism in 40 -50 year old gimmicks. It's 15 hours total and a good two are about his life prior to taking over the WWF. Nothing in there that wasn't already revealed somewhere else, but it's pretty comprehensive.

Favorite memory of Sabu was him beating up Mickey Mouse with the Insane Clown Posse - start at 10:39

coworker had his Sabu hat on and was showing me pics of that time Sabu came through and hung out with the gang after work
Sabu is clearly passing out sitting up on some manner of drugs in the photos
"yeah he must have been real tired that day, he kept falling asleep!"

I've heard some people online trying to blame Joey Janela for Sabu's death. Which is wild considering Sabu wasn't exactly known for a life of clean, sober, and careful living.

I can understand being scapegoated because you put that last straw on the camel's back, but back in elementary school I fucked something up in team sports and was the last person involved in losing the game, but my dad pointed out how everybody else ALSO fucked it up, I just happened to be the last one, otherwise it would have been a blowout regardless of my efforts
similarly I can't really fault the promoter who happened to be the one stuck when Musical Sabu Death happened

2009 Orton was incredible. Easily the best year of his career.
he was a complete menace, watching it as a kid he was easily my second most hated Heel other than Edge, a lot of people fucking hated 2008-2009 and its understandable given the product wasnt at its peak like it was in the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression but I would argue the product didn't start in getting fully shit until after WM26 (where it would largely stay until 2022) though it could be just my bias being a Zoomer.

Joey Janela is a complete PoS but yeah Sabu probably couldn't have exactly taken too many more bumps knowing what we know
